Not everything is going to be good so I can’t expect everything they do to be good, but it would be a hell of a lot easier to at least tolerate if it wasn’t holding the world title hostage.

Like if you could only pick ONE thing to be good in a promotion, I would make an educated guess that the vast majority of people would make the world title scene their top choice.

Change the C2 to give someone a trophy and a world title shot at Revolution.

Maybe workshop the name. It’s only been in existence for two years. Perfect time to change it before habits set in “permanently.”

Continental Classic sounds fine. But yeah, it shouldn’t have been a title. A nice trophy and contendership is all it needed. The OHC is already for the main title, so maybe make it the C2 for any other title besides that? Like the NJC where they can pick any title to challenge for, but the AEW version isn’t for all belts.

It’ll give more midcarders shine and even make tag team wrestlers get opportunities to do singles matches. Of course they’d need to have upper carders in it, so toss in a few not doing any programs into it.

Either way, just make the C2 the Winter tournament for a title.

A tournament that takes up as much tv time as the C2 has no business being for anything but a world title shot.
