the fact that dumbass nikkas are quoting this like "he's right!" and using their booking to justify it is very frustrating

this quote should have never come out of his mouth at least not in that manner, the conversation goes from "AEW books black wrestlers better than WWE does"(which I am not disagreeing with at this present moment) to "AEW's black wrestlers are better than WWE's black wrestlers".... that shifts the criticism from the guy booking the talents in WWE to the talent themselves

the conversation of AEW and WWE's black wrestlers should never be about tearing nikkas on one side down to prop up the other and it certainly shouldnt be a conversation started by somebody that isn't black

There's so much good talent on that roster that not everyone can be champ at same time of course. But lot of the black wrestlers have been featured thru out the weekly shows. Some like Swerve, Ricochet, Mercedes, and HS in current storylines.

Def agree that things gotta be consistent and that's for not just black talent. But even if someone not champ, long as they featured & get some ring and tv time, then its def gonna be better for them.

Keyword i think here is most. Which can be interpreted in 2 different ways depending on the individual hearing or reading it. As well as whether they analyzing it from a two company or more perspective. Of course many will use the two company viewpoint. I don't think any of them is intended to tear down others.

I can look at it from a sports perspective. Each of the 4 has two leagues, east and west, American league or national league, afc or nfc, etc. Now saying that most of the good players are in one conference isn't a knock on the other conference cuz the difference could be as low as the better conference having 1 better player.

Like it's not an insult towards players like Giannis if someone were to say most of the good players like AD, Jokic, Luka, Ant, played in the west for example. Lifting others up doesn't have to come at the expense of tearing others down. TK obviously gonna hype up his players just like any team owner or coach would.

im happy that black wrestlers are accomplishing major things in AEW but kayfabe accomplishments determined by a non-black booker does not determine one's talent when we KNOW black wrestlers are historically underutilized

"nobody said shyt about WWE" well its obviously always going to go back to WWE and some flame war shyt especially with a statement like that which results in mostly non-black tribalists going back and forth tearing black wrestlers from each company down, when the only person who should be getting torn down are the bookers

I don't even think he was thinking purely in-ring.. you look around the locker room and there's a lot of talent there with Lashley coming in, Shelton coming in, Swerve, Mercedes, Willow, Private Party, Hobbs...

I don't think he books everyone well consistently but it's a very talented group, many of whom are doing well. Thriving. Swerve just signed a big contract extension. Mercedes is reportedly the highest paid women's wrestler.

These are things that fans should be happy and excited about and yet here we are..... people wanna talk about stan wars

then clearly im not referring to your post when I talk about stan wars there are other platforms this comment is posted on, hence the twitter link, where fans are now debating what he said comparing black wrestlers in both companies

my issue with listing accomplishments was that those things dont determine worth or talent, it speaks more to the booking ability and opportunity than the talent itself, Swerve wouldnt even be in consideration right now if he was still in WWE, would that have meant he's not as talented? No it would mean he hasn't been properly utilized and given an opportunity. Same way we all know Montez Ford can be one of the BITW but isn't given an opportunity.

And yes, saying "our nikkas are the best nikkas!" is an issue, if he wouldve said "we have most of the best Mexican/Japanese wrestlers" twitter would be on fire.
