As far as Ricky turning down creative, the only thing I ever heard was that he didn’t think he should beat Big Bill. He didn’t say he wouldn’t do it, he just didn’t agree with it.
I’d make an educated guess that nearly every wrestler at some point has disagreed with their creative. And if they didn’t, it’s probably because they just didn’t give a shyt or just wanted to go out, do the work, and not get involved with the politics of wrestling.
