They’re gonna have to make some hard decisions with Mox and Jericho. Their star power in 2019 isn’t their star power now. 6 years may as well be 25 in wrestling years. I feel Vince purposely sent AEW their problems and it worked and it could work the other way too.

Mox's contract expired and he refused to sign an extension with them. Jericho's contract with WWE expired in 2017 and he was only doing a pay per appearance deal.

I was talking about their 2020 and 2021 cuts whereas alot of them went to aew for security during uncertain times then flipped in 2022. Vince did indirectly send Mox and Jericho to AEW by cancelling their main event runs though. Jericho was done as a top guy in WWE and his universal title main event feud was turned into a US title opening match at mania and Mox top guy run was supplanted by AJ and he went back to being third wheel. I don’t think those runs should’ve been this long and should’ve been sent back to WWE by now. At some point it’s diminishing returns and that point came years ago

AEW wasn't announced until January 2019, Jericho was already out of a contract by then and Moxley/Ambrose had just a few months left and he had already expressed his interest in leaving prior to that announcement.

It makes no sense to have Swerve beat Bob now. The team is still fresh and it’s not best to have Bob catch an L even if it is to Swerve. The good thing about not continuing the feud now is they can pick it up later on after Bob has done his time in the company. They did tease Swerve not forgetting about THS.
