I'm happy for him
mans career has spanned every major wrestling company for the last what? 3 decades? He's been everywhere and been a different person in every stop, and managed to make people care in each and every place - even if it was just to hate whatever the fukk Se7en was supposed to be.
he's lowkey had the longest, and most consistent, run of any Rhodes.
Bring it home wherever you want to, Dustin:blessed:

can we please have less rah-rah though.

Christian's the same story, lowkey. He missed WCW, but homie pioneered the 'go to TNA, level up, then come back a bigger deal' template later used by many a person, including Dustin's little brother :wow:
there's something to be said about the frequency that the older workers going to AEW and showing up the OG talent happens, but it's probably just part of a bigger discussion about how tenured workers who went through uniform and logical developmental can continue well into their 50s and 60s because they are sound technically and know how to work a crowd with character instead of pop one with flippyshyt. And how unlikely it is for those of the current de jour style to be able to down the line simply due to the body wear.
but... that's not a conversation for this thread prolly.

Shelton on his way to doing the leap with flying colors too :blessed:
Lashley also there, another well-traveled elder statesman outworking people literally half his age :blessed:

AEW doesn't want to be WCW... but like... it's really good at being WCW. Maybe it should stop running from it, and embrace it so they can refine it. Do it right.

Breh...that's all I'm saying. Tony should just give up the ghost and listen to his uncle Eazy E for how to blend the grizzled wrestling heads with the sickos.

I'm trying to get those 6:05 vibes :wow:
