I never heard anyone say this about TNA. Then or now. AEW looks good on camera. I honestly don't see what you're talking about.
TNAs issue is mainly the sound work. The presentation is that of a budgeted small but historic promotion, yet the sound always comes off like a struggling podcast :francis: .

I remember looking at Slammiversary 2018, and was hyped with the opening but the sound of the ring and mic work :scusthov:

Chris Jericho in Sam Roberts interview: "A small segment of fans complained about me being here and that's how the learning tree came about. You wanna complain about the jericho vortex? I'll make it a thing. You wanna bytch about me on TV? I'll demand more TV time and make it a segment"

The main problem with AEW’s production is the lighting :patrice: that kind of lighting makes sense for TNA where they run in smaller arenas. It makes AEW ‘look’ cheap since they run bigger arenas but darken sections they are closed off. I read they’re running smaller venues next year so I expect their programming will look better on TV.

Eh I somewhat like that whole dark gritty nature of production with Dub. It reminds me of WCW with the whole grainy shadowy vibe.

Tony got two of the best luchadores in the entire industry in Penta & Rey

But needs Kommander to get that audience :gucci: :what:

Either one of them would've been good for it, tho as jobbers I wouldn't have agreed with. Right now if i had to rank them based on likely or most needing to win the block

Top tier would be Ospreay & prolly Darby with how their trying to push him to the next level.

Middle tier would be Claudio and Ricochet, with Claudio already being trios champ so not like he needs the push or Ricochet who isn't quite there yet. But both have the potential to take that next step, just not having as much momentum as the other two.

Then last tier is Brody and Kommander. Brody has lots of potential as well but hasn't been built up a much as the other guys and been focusing on tag and trios for the most part. He did great in last years CC but didn't really advance much in singles like Briscoe and DG did. He prolly remained the same.

Now it's unfortunate whats going on with Fenix and Penta. Tho if things were different, i don't know if either one deserved being thrown into that bottom tier. Bad enough that Rico and Darby already suffered losses, adding a loss to them from Penta or Fenix makes it worse.

Last year the field was split in half with 5 getting 6 points or less, well Claudio had 7 cuz of a tie so he'd be the middle ground. Hard to say where Penta or Fenix would've fallen but would've been bad seeing them in the low tier constantly losing. Not sure who else could've taken losses without damage to their rep like Kommander. Someone they can build up afterwards which they didn't do with Jay Lethal last year. Best he can do is just make his opponents look strong in defeat.

Tony loves Komander because he is trying to build his fan base in Mexico...but people forget to mention that

Respect the new information, I was unaware of this and it makes more sense.

Still, I don't like the optics of a guy who loses 75% of the time being in the CC, if it's an angle for Mexico then there's got to be a more credible Latino option right? I know Rey & Penta are out, Hologram is hurt or something.

Maybe they use the CC to turn his record around going forward and if that's the case, it's a good booking decision because the man gets plenty of television exposure (Jericho basically made TV Time a pause equivalent).

:pachaha: He's a trailblazer alright..... like Sebastian Telfair :dead:

i saw your comment again and it reminded me of something and its on the tip of my tongue but i can't properly think about it. I can hear it and I don't think it was a trailblazer unless I'm wrong. And I'm sure I'm gonna be like damn it cuz I know the name of the guy for sure, not sure if he still relevant at the moment but its frustrating not able to properly figure it out.

And I remember a quote that might be related thats something like "and I ain't from Orlando but I know some runners, that leave with the pack and come back with the hundreds." or something like that. The Runners being a production duo, not sure if they still around. Might be from there that the Sebastian Telfair one is from unless I'm mistaken.

Exactly. Production is damn near 90% lightning anyways. No one looks big time in aew. Nothing looks big time.
