No, i don’t pretend, I’m over the switch hardware. That doesn’t mean I don’t love BoTW

I would love to play this game on better hardware. Even hardcore nintendo fans were hoping there would be a switch 2 released with this game

Will this expansion work without the BOTW cartridge?

I was one of the guys sweating whether or not this was going to be glorified DLC, but after that trailer, it's clearly not.

The Switch's hardware was weak when it came out 6 years ago. If you bought it expecting the triple AAA experiences like GoW or Forza then you poured jelly all over yourself.

The Switch's library is the best library for a Nintendo platform since the SNES. Hell, it's better than the SNES. If you're willing to look a little bit you'd see the great games on the platform are nearly endless.

You’re arguing about two different things, i have plenty of nintendo games, over 40 on my switch. I have no problem with Nintendo’s software, I’ve owned every single iteration of their consoles aside from the WII-U.

And i don’t expect nintendo to ever give me playstation/xbox level visuals. But i did want a new system to play it at a higher resolution and framerate, like most people. That’s not an indictment on the game its an indictment on how dated the hardware is in 2023. I also didn’t buy this thing to ever play it in handheld mode

And for the record, i was never one of the people who thought this game was going to be a “dlc” so you got the wrong person.

Okay, that's fair. I think a Switch Pro or equivalent would've been cool. The Switch's successor will be a step up.

I was worried the game would be DLC. That worry is gone now.

I'd been strong so far, I didn't watch the gameplay presentation, nothing as in total blackout. I was on Twitter and I saw Ganondorf trending breh and I buckled. There is a reason why he joins Link and Zelda on the canvas in the mancave, he's the greatest villain ever in gaming. My appeal for characters in popular media is that I usually gravitate towards the evil side because they are the side that is most interesting. Scar from the Lion King, Jafar from Aladdin, Gaston from Beauty and the Beast, Darth Vader from Star Wars, Shere Khan in the Jungle Book, Lotso in Toy Story, Agent Smith in The Matrix (Where the Agent Ice actually comes from) are the illest to me. The hero just typically has to overcome them. I find Ganon the most interesting character from the franchise. Unbridled hate and spite for everything in Hyrule. If you read things like Hyrule Historia and such, you know that there have been multiple Links and multiple Zeldas but only one Ganondorf.

He is the incarnation of Demise and I want to see him fukk up Hyrule because then it will show the levels Link/Zelda have to do to save Hyrule.

I went back and watched both the e3 teaser trailers plus the official trailers after they dropped the name and my body is more than ready.

I haven’t played botw since the beginning of the pandemic and am debating running it back before this joint come out but i simply don’t have the time
