i think…people expect too much out of sequels.

Yeah, the game took 6 years but japan got hit pretty hard by covid. They didn’t have any real proper work from home procedures in place when they got hit. A lot of those devs live in broom closets

The switch isn’t really much more powerful than a Wii-U. I do think it is pretty bold of them to raise the price, but :yeshrug:

…people expect too much out of sequels.

oh we’re doing this now :unimpressed:

imagine that…ppl expecting too much of a sequel to a GOTY winner…what a sick world we live in…how dare they??

btw this is not me criticizing the game cuz I haven’t played it yet since it’s not out…but I don’t think having high expectations for a follow-up to a great game is a real complaint lol

I mean in terms of just visuals and performance, i think the game will be bigger, and play better, i just never expected like a huge leap graphically which is why i been hating on it not coming out for a new switch for the past year. I knew this was gonna be the result

It's definitely possible, but the fact that the propellers Link put on his raft recharge automatically when unactive makes me doubt you'd need fuel for this type of machines.

Maybe the more you have the more stamina your battery has? Or it could be your “glue” :dame: that you use to fuse stuff together

if you look at this car theres a big tank filled with that stuff, which is why i thought it might be tied to a fuel gauge

But i do hope they allow you to store these things. If its something you make and they just break apart after a while or you have to actively search for where you left it, i probably won’t bother with making most of it

I think similarly to you but it's ordered differently in my mind.

I thought about the tank too, which is why I think that it'd make carrying fuel vials on Link redundant. The tank, in my opinion, is a "battery" that powers the entire vehicle and make the mechanical attachments last longer.

I also thought the vials would hold the green goo :dame: at some point, but the fact that Link carried only one in the gameplay presentation didn't seem to impact his vehicle building in any way. Goo just popped up between the parts without any indicator of a diminishing resource for the player.

I agree with you about storage and I think it'd be goofy for them not to allow the player to do it. I'm pretty confident they won't make this mistake and making vials a sort of pokéball for vehicles would make them very valuable gameplay-wise. If you clean up a camp or explore a secret area and find an additional spot for your fav vehicle, that'd be very valuable. You could build a roster of machines allowing you to move in the air, on land, on water, or hybrids as they hinted at. Man, that shyt about to be fun!

Nintendo gets away with stuff that wouldn't fly with other companies. The original BOTW was a Wii U game and this is coming out 6 years later and graphically it barely looks any different and they are reusing the map but adding some floating islands. Literally looks like a big DLC but they have the audacity to charge an extra 10 dollars for this.

Is it going to have an actual story, dungeons, bosses, and items you find in each dungeon to get to the next dungeon, or is it going to be another enormous empty world with a bunch of cute youtube clips of backflips into time freezes that launch trees into space type of game?
Serious question despite being asked sarcastically.

And I’ve had the same response when people express the same criticism about other games. People have been whining about how long cross-gen have gone on, and how games aren’t blowing them away, and yada yada…

And I’ve always said, this is the effects of the pandemic everything got pushed up and delayed at LEAST a year. No one would be mad if zelda came out in the beginning of last year or late 2021. For some reason people think the pandemic only effected the time we were in lockdown when its the opposite. Games still came out in 2020-2021, its the post pandemic delay of this current gen that is still hitting us.
