I do think Star Fox would be a better choice for an animation project (by a studio like Illumination) than Zelda, even if its far less popular.

We all know they are doing this because Zelda is popular. It’s arguably the third most popular Nintendo franchise. But his reasoning doesn’t make sense as far as popularity goes.

I dont see illumination capturing the mood of zelda, its not a slapstick chuckle fest. Its a quiet and meditative adventure, filled with traps and dangers and magic

A lot of goofy stuff has been in the majority of the games. There's definitely going to be humor in it

That stuff is usually meant to bring levity to it though, not the foundation of the game. Like, Mario doesn’t really have a real plot so its whatever, Zelda does, it’s not some deep intricate plot with a bunch of twists but it generally more involved than just saving the princess.

now if you could make a good and successful movie where the protagonist is mute.... that would be cinema

honestly think Zelda is more suited towards a tv series than a movie, but financially I see why the movie makes more sense.

Illumination is capable of switching it up, and Nintendo won't let them turn one of their crown jewels into Despicable Me. I don't think we're gonna get a Spiderverse caliber movie, but we'll get something solid.

I give the nintendo hardware shyt, because it is shyt. I wouldn’t have bought another nintendo console if i didn’t like their games. If this was Halo you might have a point.

I would love to see a well done animated Zelda movie, Starfox, F-Zero, Metroid, etc. I just think this is a wack animation studio, you’re not gonna convince me otherwise

Then Nintendo will announce the Metroid movie and we go through this whole cycle again.
