damn it been 2 year, I need more avatar:to:
The two closest shows I've seen to capture the same feeling are the new Voltron and RWBY.

Voltron on Netflix is pretty much Korra retooled with Voltron themes by many of the people who worked on Korra and the same animation studio. It's a legit great show and if it keeps it up will probably end up a better show than Korra by far.

RWBY is what Korra might have ended up being if it had no real budget to animate the show and instead used amateur voice actors and was animated using a PS2-PS3 level video game engine. It's a very rough show but at the same time it has a charm to it despite the flaws.

I like both those shows and they capture that comedy adventure feel Korra had. They both do a well enough job capturing that fake anime vibe.

I don't know though because Korra is a sore spot for me. It came up short IMO when compared to the original Avatar series. It probably suffered from not being properly planned out as a 4 season show. They made it up on the fly and it showed with the uneven quality. All of Season 3 and parts of Season 4 and 1 show brilliance but it's still all over the place as a whole. The original Avatar started out at it's worst and consistently got better and better until it ended.

I don't think the fact that Zaheer has exceeded even Aang as an airbender is being talked about enough. The man watched his chick get bodied (gruesomely, I might add :scusthov:) then immediately realised that her death meant he no longer has any ties to the world. Do you realise how cold he is? :wow:

Watched his lady die and said fukk it, now I can fly :banderas:
Rewatching the whole series and I had to come back to this comment. Probably my favorite post in the whole thread. That was truly a special moment in season 3. TLA is great but season 3 of Korra was my favorite season out of all of them and Zaheer is one of the GOATs

:wow: Most spiritual breh in the entire series. He's my favorite antagonist as well. Aside from having to body Korra to achieve it was his goal really villainous? When you think it about it the reason why the avatar cycle exists in the first place was because Wan fukked up.

I like character traits that you can read into, that isn't explicitly stated.

And Korra does not like cronies/brown nosers:laugh:

Main characters usually show those types sympathy but she treats them how they let themselves be treated. Even the earth queens attendant who didn't have much of a choice
