you know who was/is actually kinda like this?

this guy :whoa:
True. He needs his own 1 hour solo podcast where he just goes on rants about left-wing economic policy.

He's pretty much the only guy on the left who can speech with some passion and energy without sounding like a complete nerd.

Can't say Rogan, because Rogan still likes to put on the friendly "I'm just a regular guy" schtick.

We need a media personality who's fiery, assertive, masculine, off-the-cuff, and unapologetically left-wing without coming off as soft like so many other dudes in left-wing media.

John Stewart, while good at speaking, still gives off too much of the "nice guy" image to me.

Sam Seder, as I explained in my original post, is very sharp, but he is just WAY too nerdy and boring to hold the attention of the average person.

On his show "The Majority Report", he used to have a co-host on his show named Michael Brooks who while also being knowledgeable was able to pepper in funny jokes and impressions that made the show more listenable for me.

After he unfortunately passed away, the show became way too bland and dry and I haven't listened to or watched a single episode since.

Turning the other cheek or taking the high road ain't working at this point.

No, not that. I'm just pointing out that trying to out-do them at being them has always been a recipe for failure. OP is talking about finding some readymade leadership figure to rally hearts and minds, and that is not going to happen by retracing steps in a rigged game. You're not to find it in some Youtube pundit, not on twitch or Discord or whatever. Limbaugh didn't make anything. He tapped in to networks of people that were already talking with each other.

The leadership you're looking for is you. No substitutes, no shortcuts, no posturing, no bullshyt. Put aside the tools of your opposition and go deal with your people face to face. It's that simple.

The whole masculinity thing is interesting, because it goes into what I've been saying for a while. This whole masculinity thing wouldn't be a problem if men in our society were in better standing overall.

People think that Republicans/Conservatives appeal to these young men's ideologies. Here's the thing though: these young men don't have any ideologies. They're lost right right now. Wandering aimlessly. The right has found a way to reach these young men and appeal to what makes them feel useful. They give them hope.

And the Democrats have not been able to do that, which is ironic considering the best president the Democrats have had in the past 40 years ran his whole campaign on hope. And until they find a way to reach these men, they'll continue to lose them to the Republican party :manny:

The people on the left and their beliefs are not rooted in hate and anger at a minority of people, its not about resentment because of your gradual losing power and not being as dominant culturally as before, those are just the facts. Hating on transgender people who have done you no harm and just want to live their lifes or gay people sells, not talking about giving universal free school lunch to all children or increase social welfare

This isn’t the first time someone thought of this. About 20 years back, we had something called Air America. it was basically a progressive radio station had a lot of goat talent on it. The morning show was A+. They had Liz Winstead who created the daily show, Rachel Maddow before she started her fake geek girl thing for TV, and Chuck D from Public Enemy. Then they had Al Franken, which was pretty good, but he was kind of an a$$hole. Randy Rhodes was her afternoon host and she did great too. Then Thom Hartman was on it as well at around noon.

The problem was it was kind of a the producers style scam. It was intentionally set up to fail, and you could tell the leadership started to sabotage it to send it under. not paying talent except Al Franken, then when people started leaving, they were replaced them with terrible talent who I think were intended to tank the company. Producers ran off with the investment dollars and it finally ended. A lot of the talent went on to have success elsewhere.

It would work someone just has to pony up the money to create a channel. The problem is nowadays anyone with talent is going to form their own podcast and be their own boss. We need liberal talk though. The closest thing we have is NPR, but it’s overrun with pro Israel Zionists.

There are a lot of left-wing political podcasts out there, but here's the problem: they all come across as "weak".

There are some very smart and highly knowledgeable left-wing media figures and podcast hosts, but they all would sound like fukking dorks to the average person
, ESPECIALLY young males, who are currently enamored with the Rogan/masculinity sphere of YouTube, Tik Tok, and Twitter.

here ya go.

I feel like I was born for something like this, but I don't desire the attention. I can handle a lot of attention, shi, having cars, houses, and jewelry did that for me for years.

This is a different type of attention though. Somebody run up on me mad at my content then I'm going to jail for assault or murder. I don't think I could handle a situation like that without violence.
