Conservative Talk Radio is a beast

I credit Rush partially for Hillary losing in 16. People really underestimated how hard in the paint Rush went against the Clintons when Bill was in office. He was daily hammering them on the radio. That built up absolute irrational HATRED for anything Clinton

Decades later when Hillary ran that old hatred rose back up. That was all Rush.
People gravely underestimate how important and influential conservative talk radio and podcasts are. And it's even worse now.

Right wing people are waking up and watching "Fox & Friends" while they eat breakfast, listening to conservative talk radio on their way to work, listening to Joe Rogan's podcast at the gym, and watching Fox News before they go to bed. In-between all of this throughout the day, they're seeing conservative memes on Twitter on their phones.

Indoctrination all day every day 24/7.

He :flabbynsick:

Rogan and them got the juice. Say they need their version of Rogan or something
Can't say Rogan, because Rogan still likes to put on the friendly "I'm just a regular guy" schtick.

We need a media personality who's fiery, assertive, masculine, off-the-cuff, and unapologetically left-wing without coming off as soft like so many other dudes in left-wing media.

Bill Maher's confrontational style and humour reminds me a bit of Rush Limbaugh in a weird way but he's hard to read lately. Another issue is him being an unapologetic Zionists.

Also George Carlin is another person who comes to mind who would have been perfect for the podcast era but he hated both parties.

Yeah, Maher strikes me as very much the "Hollywood Liberal" type:

Fine with marijuana, gay marriage, and (maybe) a higher minimum wage, but don't you dare raise his taxes, because then he'll move to Texas to avoid income tax (*cough* Joe Rogan *cough*).

lmao Hassan and destiny, the voice of the “left”.

:laff:

Again conflating leftist ideals with pandering to dikk teasers and weirdos.

Jesse Ventura or someone like him could advocate for everything outside of the identity politics without looking and sounding like a bytch.

You’re not gonna find a personality like that who will defend the fvckery of the Democratic party on a nightly basis.

But they won't need to defend the Democratic party if they can galvanize enough listeners on their own.

Trump went on the debate stage in 2016 and talked shyt about the Republican establishment -- to their faces -- and people on the right who were sick of the neocon establishment embraced him for it.

Like someone else said in this thread, the guy would have to be more of a dem soc rather than a full-blown socialist.

A self-made, everyman business owner who's known for doing always doing right by his employees would be perfect imo.

Conservatives/Fox News wouldn't be able to play the "wacky socialist" card if the guy is a successful business owner who just happens to be left-leaning economically.

I like Destiny and think he's the best debater on the left and love how he's never afraid to be "mean" and will just straight up call a conservative or a neo-nazi "stupid" or "retarded' to their face
That wouldn’t work. The left is all about being inclusive and not offending anyone. No way you can even call someone a “retard“ without a bunch of people getting on your ass.

The right is very anti-cancel culture so they can get away with saying flagrant stuff and not have to worry about any pushback.

There are a lot of left-wing political podcasts out there, but here's the problem: they all come across as "weak".

There are some very smart and highly knowledgeable left-wing media figures and podcast hosts, but they all would sound like fukking dorks to the average person
, ESPECIALLY young males, who are currently enamored with the Rogan/masculinity sphere of YouTube, Tik Tok, and Twitter.

The image of being a right-wing conservative man in the eyes of many young men is a guy who works hard to support his family, drinks whiskey, shoots guns, owns a business, drives a pickup truck, lifts weights, and is successful and confident.

The image of being a left-wing man in the eyes of many young men (and women) is a guy who is sensitive, speaks softly, is passive, has never had to work using his hands, is emotional, is feminine, and is a guy who probably drives an electric car (not a Tesla) and spends a lot of his time reading books instead being outside.

The fact of the matter is that being or identifying as left-leaning or liberal looks unmasculine in the eyes of a lot of men, regardless of age, but especially now within the 18-30 age range.

But, imagine if the left had a pundit or influencer who could counter the Ben Shapiros, Charlie Kirks, and Tucker Carlsons of the world WITHOUT sounding like so many of the men on the left in the political world do: whiny, nerdy and feminine?

I like Hasan Piker, but he's too cowardly to debate conservatives since he got more popular, and he isn't that good of a debater anyway. Plus, his pretty boy image makes him look "soft".

I like Destiny and think he's the best debater on the left and love how he's never afraid to be "mean" and will just straight up call a conservative or a neo-nazi "stupid" or "retarded' to their face, but he always has drama going on in his personal life.

The best all-round figure on the left to appeal to regular, everyday people would probably be Sam Seder from "The Majority Report", but his personality is way too damn nerdy and dry. Same goes for David Pakman.

A non-corporate backed shyt talking dude armed with nothing more than just a microphone and a cup of coffee who rants every weekday morning about free healthcare, the economy, unions and the working class without coming across like a privileged, upper-crust, milquetoast bytch (aka the guys from "Pod Save America") is something that the left desperately needs.
Still boils down to policy. Hard to be stoic while championing men who wear dresses and call themselves women.

It’s policies still. Described Jay Z somewhat and he’ll get washed because you can’t defend the foolishness of the far-left. The most you can say it’s their right but the comeback will always be they have a right to not like it.
