Indeed. I got 270k hard miles on mine, and it's still running like a champ. I actually used to use it as my work vehicle and was averaging 200+ miles on it per day with a full trunk of parts with a ladder in the back seat.

I thought about this present era, but nah. Cars are too bland, no individuality, they all look the same. Everybody is trying to out tech everybody. And the biggest point, cars aren’t reliable as they were, no questions asked. They’re using cheaper materials that break down faster. They’re using those HORRID CVT transmissions in their cars now. We went backwards speaking from the enthusiast perspective.

And horsepower means absolutely NOTHING if one, you never get to fully use all of it, and two, your car can’t put all that power down efficiently *cough* Hellcat/Demon *cough*

Miata and BRZ owners have more fun than any of us, and their cars are slooooww. Handling > Power.

My favorite era. All my homies had systems in they cars, nobody riding stock speakers. Cats would come down the block with 4 12's setting off car alarms bumping Shorty The Pimp or Cocktails or DJ Magic Mike. I got a job doing car and home audio install, lit the fuse for me.
