This is not a zombie game, there aren't zombies in the game. Those enemies you've seen are humans infected with some sort out outbreak that mutates them.
The game is survival/action with some elements of horror stemming from it's tense moments when encountering the enemies and some of the environments. The narrative, production values, presentation, gameplay and mechanics all mesh together to form an excellent game judging the reviews.

i remember last gen 04 was godly.

we had mgs3, halo 2, gta san andreas plus jak3 ratchet 3 and burnout 3. was

all in like a 2 month span

plus half life 2 for pc and ninja gaiden earlier in that year
