Picked it up an hour before I had to leave out for work.

you have to relaunch soon after you start otherwise you go back to prologue.
I lost 1.5 hours... forgot to relaunch.. story just draws you in. saves and autosaves are perfect after relaunch. granted I started playing at 10am. you might not have to do that now its supposedly fixed. I'd restart once you start the prologue if you press start and see it stuck on "autosaving"
I had an update also. still had to restart before autosaves worked. just press start and see if its autosaving. if it does you gucci......

I'm about to play the single player... is this game really that good? 
Does anyone else have a problem with freezing on the MP? Like I will be crouching and all of the sudden I cannot move until I get killed. Is this an issue for anyone else?

I didn't know ND had it in them. I tossed a smoke bomb at two nikkas and meele'd both of them with a spiked plank. Nice to have a slower paced MP for a change
