They even spit on Joel's dead body smh
Please tell what the fukk a cure going to do 20 years after society has crumbled and Ellie would of been the 4th immune that fireflies have harvested. Last of Us isn't about black and white characters. It's a bunch of grey characters that focus on survival.Storyline wise, this is a post apocalyptic wasteland. It shouldn't have a nice happy ending realistically. Joel is the villain in the first game, he murders numerous doctors in the end that were just looking to find a cure to help humans survive for his own selfish reasons.
The doctor's daughter seeking revenge gives weight to a world where you murder the NPCs without a second thought. Shows that there are consequences and lasting effects to your actions within the games universe.
They even spit on Joel's dead body smh
It didnt, but it takes the emotional aspect out of the game. That didnt make Joel the villain either way
I thought the whole thing with many immune people was a lie
Yeah, I remember in the end of TLOU1, Joel told Ellie that lie after he killed all the guys and took her away because she was unconscious through the whole thing and didn't know why they weren't there anymore. That's what I'm saying... Nowhere in the leaks does it say that others are immune.
Let’s be honest... The plot is the least of the issue. It's how it's presented and conveyed. The plot can 100% work if the game was structured properly.
Drunkman needed someone to reign him in and balance him out. Some ideas from plot can work, but playing half the game as the antagonist without any smoke and mirrors.
That’s amateur hour shyt. It's not ground breaking game design or refine enough. If they were to do 3 playable characters(Joel, Ellie, Abby) and the game try to make it a reveal in the final level and save Joel & Ellie's death till the end for it to come together as a powerful reveal.
Instead is just very lazy and sloppily done. It's all half cocked and telegraphed for the the get go. I didn't have a problem with Joel dying, but for the game to switch character and game tells you to chase down Ellie and kill her for the 2nd half. That's it. The 2nd half of the game sounds like some add on dlc bullshyt where you get to play from a different perspective.
The proper way to do it was to set up the audience to invest in Abby and then burn the fukking shyt down in the ending.
I think it's probably Drunkman's resentment of the sequel having to continue Joel & Ellie's story in this universe. He probably thinks that Last of Us is more about the setting than the characters. So, he brutally killed them off in such an unsatisfying ways to illustrate how he feel what Last of Us is about in his mind.
I'm cool with it, but that is some assy execution and storytelling. The moment to moment gameplay, lore, and storytelling will still be top tier.
Yeah, I remember in the end of TLOU1, Joel told Ellie that lie after he killed all the guys and took her away because she was unconscious through the whole thing and didn't know why they weren't there anymore.
They should have let Joel and Ellie’s story end after the first one.
