yeah I liked that, they also need to have Abby do something heroic to save some people or do something with a big purpose only to die anyway, giving a lot of meaning to Ellie choosing to spare her, some people might hate certain decisions now but they can always give them a greater meaning
It should end with Ellie sacrificing herself for a cure, and have abby discover that her father and the fire flies had ulterior motives for developing a cure, which fails anyway and ellie dies in vain. Abby ends up understanding Joel's actions at the end of TLOU1.

Just beat it. #2 behind MGSV. Amazing gameplay and amazing story.

The only thing that failed me is internet spoiler culture. I had to marathon this game go not get spoiled and I dont think it's meant to be played this way.

While the gameplay is hella fun you do some extreme shyt in this game and I think they want you to reflect on your actions. I'm going to replay it but a lot slower next time.

I replayed the first one before this and I think that one is like a video game movie ( not in terms of gameplay but narrative). Everything is straight to the point, there is a fairly clear motivation behind characters actions.

This one is more like a The Wire or closer to The Sopranos in my opinion. The story is long form, there are world building "episodes," character motivations could be explored and fleshed out more.

Like those shows I'm sure it could only be truly appreciated on a second run when you know the plot and now can see all of the little tells and details the game gives you early on but you were too focused on figuring out what's going on and not appreciating a story.

I'm not homophobic or transphobic so the relationships and trans people in the game did not affect me. Lev was pretty cool and a real G.

Gameplay was top notch, that PS5 will probably have MGSV a run for its money but MGSV will still win on the sheer versatility of gameplay styles.

I feel sorry for xbox nikkas:mjlol:

Yeah I was mad at ellie's fukkery and revenge thirst
Do you know what would've been better.

Aiite, so Ellie does still go after abby BUT when she gets to that concentration camp and finds abby and lev crucifixed up, abby is already dead

MEANING, ellie is now incapable of getting her revenge and that last trip was all for nought. She lost everything for being greedy and not being able to get over it. She cuts lev down and Lev sails off and the third game is Lev's story from then onwards :blessed:

After beating it and sitting on it a few days, this is a worthy follow up to a game that had the bar set stupid high. Graphics, game mechanics, facial animations, all top notch as expected. There's no telling cutscene graphics from gameplay graphics. That was evident from the beginning when I didn't know I had control of Joel for a few seconds.

The progression through the world is what both part 1 and 2 do well. I don't understand the people that want to rush through this just to shyt on the ending because there's some really unique looking set pieces and environments in this game. Loved the atmosphere of it.

I knew it was coming but I didn't know when they were gonna kill Joel. It was definitely a bold move and they used it to jump start the story, so after the immediate shock of it happening I was ready for Seattle to go after Abby. I was locked in for all of Ellie's half of the story. All 3 days were dope and provided something different from the first. Exploring run down Seattle day 1 and escaping from the hospital. The Hillcrest neighborhood area with the dogs and the truck sequence with Jesse in Day 2. Going through more of the city to get to the Aquarium in Day 3. All of it was good

Wasn't expecting for Abby to grow on me like she did because any character that kills my favorite character from Part 1 would seem automatically unlikable. There were a lot of flashbacks that were necessary to tell the story and even though it was intentional to gain sympathy for Abby they worked on me. And to be honest her half of the story is way more intense than Ellie's so when you experience all that shyt (the ship, the woods, the apartments, the hospital basement) you got no choice but to respect her.

In her revenge quest Ellie lost Jesse, Tommy got maimed, Dina left with the baby, and her ability to play the guitar was taken (which was the last connection to Joel). I feel like she did all of it to try to get her purpose back in life but it ended up taking more from her the harder she pushed for payback. She also cost Abby everyone she cared about.

If Ellie's ultimate goal is giving her life purpose then the only way they can close out this story is to have her give herself up for a cure in part 3. The final bow on the story can be that it doesn't work, and Joel is redeemed in a way for keeping Ellie alive so they could at least spend a few more years together.

characters baracters already stated in this game that abby's dad was the only person on the way to creating a cure and it doesn't matter that ellie is immune now

that's why EVERYONE on abby's side hated Joel so much and wanted him dead. Joel chose a fake daughter over a potential world rest. He's a selfish dikkhead for that. I actually don't like Joel as a character for doing that so I gave less than 0% of a fucc when abby tried to birdie his headback :yeshrug:

Found this which I feel perfectly explains the issue with Joel being killed off the way he was...

Again, the issue isn't that they killed him off, its HOW they killed him off...

Poorly written and poorly executed...

One big question i had with the story. When ellie bit abby during their first fight. Wouldnt abby get infected at that point:jbhmm:
- in the first game when she bit that pedo. She told him that he was infected at that point.:patrice:

Dont know if she was lying or if her being immune means she cant transmit :dwillhuh:
