Just beat it. #2 behind MGSV. Amazing gameplay and amazing story.
The only thing that failed me is internet spoiler culture. I had to marathon this game go not get spoiled and I dont think it's meant to be played this way.
While the gameplay is hella fun you do some extreme shyt in this game and I think they want you to reflect on your actions. I'm going to replay it but a lot slower next time.
I replayed the first one before this and I think that one is like a video game movie ( not in terms of gameplay but narrative). Everything is straight to the point, there is a fairly clear motivation behind characters actions.
This one is more like a The Wire or closer to The Sopranos in my opinion. The story is long form, there are world building "episodes," character motivations could be explored and fleshed out more.
Like those shows I'm sure it could only be truly appreciated on a second run when you know the plot and now can see all of the little tells and details the game gives you early on but you were too focused on figuring out what's going on and not appreciating a story.
I'm not homophobic or transphobic so the relationships and trans people in the game did not affect me. Lev was pretty cool and a real G.
Gameplay was top notch, that PS5 will probably have MGSV a run for its money but MGSV will still win on the sheer versatility of gameplay styles.
I feel sorry for xbox nikkas
