Bailey says: "Originally in some of the flashback sequences, you were going to see Abby going to the Wolves from the Fireflies. It was never a conscious choice to go to the Wolves, she was at that point an orphan -- she was only 15 I think when everything happened. That was where she was sent and was taken under the reign of Isaac. Isaac was a Firefly and a friend of her father so that's why she went there. That's why they have the relationship that they do is because he kind of became that fatherly figure to her."

I picked up on the rest on my own more-or-less, but did they cover this aspect at all in the game? It wasn't essential to the story but just curious

It's very minor but in Seattle there's a wanted poster for terrorists posted by Fedra with Isaac on it..

Back then the Firefly's were seen as terrorists. That's about as much as you get on Isaac history.

i think that's early wlf though, not firefly. They were at war for some time.

Yea I saw that stuff, I don’t remember the details but definitely read through em. I am definitely gonna have to go back, because I know for a fact I didn’t care much about that information at all yet at that point of the story

Beat the game. Thoughts:

I loved the ending. If you hate it and just wanted the standard revenge story, you're probably an idiot.

fukk. fukking. Clickers.

I HATED the Abby/Ellie stealth fight.

God damn the Pillars were dark as fukk.

EXCELLENT swerve not ending on the farm. I was legit shocked to find out Santa Barbara was it's own damn chapter :russ:

Overall a top 5, possibly top 3 game this gen.

Just got to day 2
I’m on survivor if you not playing on survivor I don’t respect you
Game is way easier then the first one
its taking me so long to beat because I literally search every corner

so far a piece a cake gameplay is dope but I’ll still take god of war over this
Haven’t really got stuck in any parts
I make the infected take out the soldiers I love sitting back and watching chaos emerge
Story is dope I like reading the notes

I was stacking all my chips til I met those scramblers in the tunnel made me use most of my supplies

Regardless of the criticism, I have to applaud the writers concerning the moral of the story and the ending...

By the end of the theatre scrap, I was ready for both of them to move on. I found it fascinating how I began the game in the same mindframe as Ellie at the start (wanting blood & vengeance) but ended in the same mindframe as Abby at the climax (just over it all.) They pulled a role reversal entirely, and I felt complete opposite emotions about the pair at the end as I did at the beginning. Ellie became the monster she thought she was hunting after losing Joel ("If I were to lose you, I'd surely lose myself.") She realizes this and lets him go. The writing wasn't perfect, but I thought it was beautiful. Great game.
