Man the mechanics, tension, AI was on a different level from any other game I've played. That first part with Ellie had me legit feel like I was Solid Snake unleashing hell on anyone in her path. I was hooked :wow:

...I legit turned the game off for a couple of days after that bait and switch. Not gonna lie :beli:

But they got me back :whew:

This is the last thing i will say, and then i will be done with it:

You guys say it out loud every once in a while.
Also cool weapons? It's a fukking real life game. :what:
MGSV has more variety and options and the type of setting its in helps with that being a sci fi military themed game.
So, by your own admission. The pursuit of keeping to a story/setting makes the game have less gameplay options than other games.

But when i say it, y’all act like i’m talking crazy.

Crazy to say or insinuate that TLOU2's gameplay is not top tier. As if the AI wasn't above the rest with the way different units interact to corner you.

As if everybody that played it didn't feel their blood pressure rise slightly when they introduced dogs that follow your trail :whew:

As if fluidity and responsivity weren't the best in the market :stopitslime:

Again i have played TLOU 1 extensively. You just stan hard as fukk. No one would EVER compare MGSV with TLOU2 that shyt is asinine.
TLOU2 gameplay is far more fluid and open than the first game. The way you can go from sprinting into a dive onto the ground without losing control over the character is shyt we haven't seen since metal gear 5, that where the comparisons are coming from.

Part of the reason that recent remake of the first game was such a let down is because the gameplay felt stiff and limited compared to TLOU2.

I'm not a Battle Royale fan, but what you described is a home run. Stevie Wonder can see that.

I thought about this year's ago right when battle royal was blowing up. If they do it right, it'll be hands down the best battle royal game. We already got the processing power.

They'll use spores for the border wall. Drop in human AI, runners, clickers, stalkers, bloaters, and even the rat king.

Yes i understand there’s a couple new moves like the slide and the dodge, but the moment to moment gameplay has not changed much. MGSV offers so much more in terms of gameplay options, we shouldn’t even be talking about it here. :stopitslime:

If they do this i hope its not just extraction boxes you go and hold X to loot, i hope its a system where you gotta actually go in buildings and clear our refrigerators, pantries, medicine cabinets, etc.

Make it actually feel like you are scavenging like the mainline game

Agreed. I see no reason why they'd go that route. The way it is in single player is perfect.

Yeah, thats exactly what gets me excited about a PVPVE type of game, being able to alert a bloater or clickers to enemy factions

Or say you and 2 or 3 other people are in an abandoned office or something and it has more loot than anywhere else but you know its infested with stalkers. So do you risk going in there for big loot, or do you stick to the outside perimeter with just runners?

This is also assuming guns and ammo won’t just be littered everywhere or falling from the sky like warzone

Grounded type infected might be too hard, but I think it should play out that way, if not hard difficulty.

As far as guns and ammunition, zero point in making in easily accessible. That ruins the whole game.

It definitely looks like theres some sort of battle royale wall judging by the concept art

Yeah, shouldn’t even be easy or hard difficulty should always be, high risk = high reward.

Two shamblers in the mainline game are pretty tough if you don’t have ammo or explosives, thats how it should be in the multiplayer. Even if its three people you should have to decide if its worth fighting two shamblers knowing that it will be a trade off of the current ammo and resources you have vs what you can obtain in that location.

Yeah, if they want it to be successful they have to go in on the survival aspect. It’s one thing to play the single player and you just want to see the story so you turn the difficulty down and run through it, but for a team of people trying to accomplish one goal a bloater has to feel like a very real threat. Other players have to feel like threats, and even a group of runners need to feel like you can’t be wreckless and alert them running around.

If you have a team of 3, you need to make sure everyone is properly using stealth and prone, and avoiding uncesseary fights where you can waste bullets, shanks, first aid, etc.

Theres also a thing with Last of us where they put glass and other objects you can run into and make noise around. I want all that stuff in the multiplayer. They need to emphasize this is a environment where you need to be aware of everything around you. Really up the intensity of going out into the world.

Hell, even using guns is a huge risk because they so loud and attract others in the area. I wonder would they add dogs. I'm playing Grounded mode and hated them damn dogs.

And I wonder if they're building on the population aspect of the game from Factions 1. Thought I read something that said they would.

If they do this right, this will be Sony's first big Live service game that will be popular.

Just hoping for a beta by years end

Last of Us 2 released in 2020. So they had 3 years in the making. And dont forget, Most of the game's assets can be recycled for multiplayer. They probably spent more time brainstorming.

I think we'll get Factions 2 this year.

You mean the Meta-factions stuff, like the clan system where you build up the hunters or fireflies over a few weeks?

Thats the kind of stuff I really want emphasized in this game. Make it feel like you’re really contributing to something grander when you log in.
