A lot of people did, the people that hate this game (I’m not talking about normal people that simply just didn’t like it) are convinced they make up the whole gaming community, let them tell it the game was a critical & commercial failure and all of the praise and awards are paid for…they’ll then go on to praise the first game…which won the same awards

The story mad zero sense and wasn't put together at all

It made sense as clear as day to me

From an unbiased perspective, the story was pretty bland and thrown together. Not to mention the tired revenge angle has been played out.

Like I said before, even Reddit didn't like the story. It made no sense whatsoever.

Except the story was badly written, out of order,, terribly paced, and the ending was terrible. It has nothing to do with not liking it. The first game the story was great. This one was about a 6/10. The revenge angle is "cliche" overdone and tired.

Greatly disliked her character.

shyt from the first punch I accidentally threw with Abby I knew she was gonna be raw. She plays better than Ellie, and no cap, a better character. She actually grew as a character.

Of course I want a TLOU 3 following Ellie, I think Abbys story is done

Agree to disagree, pacing and ending weren’t perfect but the story wasn’t badly written, just cos it’s been done before doesn’t mean it’s bad, instead of the story we got, how about instead we get Joel and Ellie on a traveling adventure, or would Hardened and distant protagonist that grows to love and be protective of surrogate Child figure that he didn’t initially care for be wack because it’s been done a thousand times before?…you know, like the first game or countless other pieces of media?

Yeah the story was badly written. It no longer had nothing to do with the infected, surviving, and finding a cure. The infected were just background annoyances and everybody gave up finding a cure. The premise of the original game was long gone.

Ok so like I said, just because it isn’t the story YOU clearly wanted, doesn’t mean it’s badly written, there’s a big difference between the two, which a lot of people in the fandom struggled with

You still not understanding, I don't have to like a story for it to be good. Just because you like something doesn't mean its good. If you like Sharknado 6, that doesn't mean the movie and plot is good. It just means you have poor critique skills.

Your bias is just going against the backlash, which some of it is worthy criticism. Story ain't no higher than a 6.

The game has a 60% completion rate which is damn impressive for a game that long. Ain't nobody doing that if the story was that trash.

If you're a true fan, which a lot of folks are because of the 1st game, then yes we played through 25 hours. The great gameplay more than made up for it. It wasn't a terrible game. The story was just lacking.
