How raw is he tho?

Very. He's still working on his body. He can rebound a bit, block a shot or two. I think he can be what Stiemsma is for you now, but expectations will be much higher for a guy like Melo. He can be more, but it'll take time. If you guys keep KG and Bass, Melo can develop while a guy like KG winds down, rebuild on the fly style.

Melo seems more athletic though, better passer, better rebounder, and will be better scorer

I don't know about the scoring and rebounding part. He can be OK as a scorer, but he's really raw in that department. He's such an underachiever as a rebounder that I think he maxes out at 8 rpg. I think KG would pay off huge dividends in terms of mentoring him because KG's one of the best rebounders of the last 15 years. It's all in his technique. It's fixable if he can work more on his body. Still too doughy for his size.

I'm a big S.U fan and I believe anyone taking Melo is a huge mistake...he hasn't been playing basketball long at all in his life....he is not a good a scorer (saw him brick easy shots at the combine wide open)....he's kinda of a mental case that makes bad decisions on the court...he is strictly a project player....but I think his body is decent way better then it use to be...anybody who takes dude in first round lost

A few Floors Down from the Daily Grind
Rondo
Bradley
Pierce
Humphries
Garnett

That is a very good starting 5 for us. Humphries could solve soooo many rebounding problems just by himself.

I have no idea about Green or Wilcox or even Bass at this point, but its obvious that after you bring in a Humphries you need wing players badly.

I can imagine Pietrius and Dooling sticking around based on Rivers preferences for veteran bench players who play D.

But really, we need younger SGs and SFs.

I can't see them not resigning Green

Danny already getting killed for that trade, now Perkins is probably gonna win a championship

Bass should come back to, he's a good player...

I could care less about Wilcox tho

People are overvaluing the East. We don't know what Rose is going to be looking like. I'm sure Chicago will be a playoff team but who knows what the ceiling is.

Indiana and Philly have some young talent but their ceiling isn't very high with the current rosters either. Second round max.

It's the Heat and everyone else.
