Another question, why is bebanburg made of wood when it was a whole castle before???
You might be remembering wrong. I went back to check it's appearances in season 1 and season 4's assault. There's some stone for the interior but Bebbanburg's perimeter has always been wood.

At the end of episode 6. Edward has really come into his own the past two seasons. He's making sound and rational judgements without being overly vindictive like his father. The call to murk those aldermen was the right move. His decision with Sigtryggr was right as well.

Got off lucky he deserved more than that for all he did for Alfred and Edward and all the losses he took
uhtred took crown from 24 Jack Bauer as most fukked up losses a season or 2 ago and just double down on it even more this season god knows what the movie will do next

Both are good. If you like Vikings you'll most likely like the last kingdom.
Initially I preferred Vikings, after Ragnar I preferred the last kingdom.

About to start ep 4 and so far....
This whole Mercia storyline about the succession seems like a combination of s4 and s3 stories.
Truth of the matter is, while I love Princess Pawg, her character dying is nothing on the level of when Alfred was dying. Alfred was iconic and you felt every moment.
His daughter is dying and I'm just like
cause I ain't that invested in her.
Plus this whole succession in Mercia seems like it's about to be a repeat of the foolery from last season. I hope I'm wrong
