I’m not sure how much this show follows history.. I don’t even know the history for that matter.. but it seems like they are setting up next season(if there is one) for a timeskip.. and one of the King’s sons has to sit on the throne. The kid that’s with Uthred seems to be getting set up to be a noble warrior.

It's historical fiction based on the book series "The Saxon Stories" by Bernard Cornwell. So it will follow real history but with added fukkery.

I mean he still young, they had his sons and just sacked his territory. I'd be spazzing too.

Don't forget Alfred was also moving sloppy when Aethelred got snatched, ready to bankrupt all of Wessex to save his daughter which led to one of his most loyal and powerful advisors (Odda the Elder) to act against him and commit suicide.

Solid season. It started out really dope but it got a little bit shaky for me. Still really good but not great. I had a few issues

What was with that awful scene where Haesten had Uhtreds men out numbered and choose to hang him upside down and LEAVE . Like you got the dane killer. Just kill him. That scene was some 1960 Batman villian ish. Also what was the point of the sickness? It came and went. Didnt add much of anything to the story. When Ethelreds men find out Eardwulf killed him why is he allowed to just leave? Death bed or not you kill a king you gotta get delt with. It made no sense so I just knew they were gonna use him again later. Very predictable. Who taught Utreds son how to fight? Felt a little off for him to killing in those massive battles. Other then those issues it was pretty solid Really good battles and the politics were pretty solid too.

What happened to Uhtreds baby son that his wife died giving birth to in season 3???

He has 3 children, not 2.
