Wouldn't even say Good Ol Boy in the Tradional Sense. Its just a bunch of So Called Liberal Whites, and Asians looking out for their own.
Ignoring Amazon and Apple which have warehouses and stores, the companies in the op are 3 percent Hispanic and 1 percent black which is the same percentages seen at two top STEM high schools: Stuyvesant in NYC and Thomas Jefferson in Fairfax County, VA. Kids need to start accelerated studies in the 6th grade and be held to high standards.

While ethnic and gender data early in the pipeline is incomplete, we do know that in 2013, 4.5% of CS graduates from the top 25 schools were African-American, and 6.5% were Hispanic/Latino.

black folk need to make their own, support their own, and put their own on.
These are the same ones who gentrify black neighborhoods then cry about the lack of "diversity" after the original black residents are priced out.Wouldn't even say Good Ol Boy in the Tradional Sense. Its just a bunch of So Called Liberal Whites, and Asians looking out for their own.
Whats stopping Black Middle and Upper Class from rebuilding our own communities? These are the same ones who gentrify black neighborhoods then cry about the lack of "diversity" after the original black residents are priced out.
Even with those low percentages, the companies Miley worked for can't even hit half those percentages. IMO, it indicates that the number of black and Latinos "in the pipeline" isn't the only reason the companies look the way they do. And a lot of it has to do with hiring process he noted

I saw that quote and I ignored it because I knew it was a lie. Here is the truth:
179 universities with PHD programs in computer science, computer engineering, or information were surveyed. Of all the graduates from these 179 schools that received bachelor degrees in CS, CE, or I total in 2013, 4.5% were black and 6.5% were Hispanic.
See Table B3, p. 27 http://archive2.cra.org/uploads/documents/resources/crndocs/2013-Taulbee-Survey.pdf
Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but the linked survey is pretty much in line with what was said in the article. Are you saying his interpretation of those numbers are wrong or the numbers themselves are wrong?
Perhaps someone else will be kind enough to break it down for you. I don't have the patience.
