The Killzone series is officially dead

killzone hit the end of its journey ages ago. didn't even think this warranted a statement

For real. Shadow Fall will be 11 years old next month, and there hasn't been a single word about the series. Shadow Fall was a bit of a surprise since Killzone 3 wasn't all that well received. shyt BEEN dead.

And considering it was such a product of its time, it's ok if it stays dead, unless someone over there at Sony comes up with a good reinvention of it. But even then, it would need to be so different that I'd really rather that effort be used on launching a new series.

Sony owns the killzone IP don't they? This year was the 20th anniversary of the original game. The original is a game that actually would benefit from a remake. It wasn't a finished product which is why it's reviews weren't that positive.

If bluepoint is up for it, they could do a remake of the original game and it would look great running on the ps5. Might even move some ps5 pros if it's a locked 60fps at 1440p.

Killzone was made to go against Halo, now that Halo has pretty much killed itself the mission is over.

Now Horizon has to kill whatever big game they release it next too.

and like red faction, resistance, and a lot of other games of the time they just stopped keeping pace with the real shooters with traction
