I think it's a wrap for jj cavs wants him but nets trying to get Andy so they have him as an asset next year...

Man with jj and Jr off the bench... This team would be bulls 3 peat good

Cavs are the ones stalling talks according to :wildebeest:

they want to avoid the luxury tax bill that jj brings and they have a few other options on the table.

one option may include dorell wright

Makes no sense.. Why initiate or entertain a talk about a 24 mil player to be like... Hummm...too costy.. They should know that the moment it's mentioned..

But I heard they are refusing Andy left and right on trades

And he's hardly gonna get any burn don't know what they were thinking when they gave him that contract

Cavs gonna fukk around and miss out on a great opportunity. I don't think it is Lebron holding up the trade of Andy. Dude is strictly business and threw his boys Wade and Bosh in the bushes because of business.

It is more important to get Lebron a back up to reduce his minutes than keeping Andy. It you extend Lebron's career by two or three years by reducing his load and minutes Gilbert has that many more years of making paper off of Lebron and the Cavs. Plus Lebron is like magic he will easily move into a secondary position as his gets older unlike Jordan and Kobe.

They didn't initiate talks with Brooklyn. Brooklyn wants the Haywood contract and Sasha Kaun from Russia. We still have his rights.

Cavs wanted David West but could not find a team to take Andy. Brooklyn doesn't want him. With the West thing over with Andy is more than likely here to stay unless we can get a commitment from Stoudomire or something and another team is willing to take Andy.

Joe Johnson is 34 y/o & makes 25 mil next season. I can see why they're hesitant. We'd have 4 max contracts in our starting line up and 1 coming off the bench (TT). They have a lot of other offers (supposedly) and are mulling over everything. This is their last major asset and they want to get the most they can out of it (They prefer a younger wing with long term potential).

IMO i think JJ fits perfectly. He can play alot of minutes at the 3 and there wouldn't be a gigantic drop off offensively when we limit LBJ's minutes. The #1 thing this team needs to be concerned with is limiting LBJ. They need to reduce his minutes 10 fold and give him games off while still gunning for the 1-2 seed. Mo William's helps with Kyrie in that respect and TT with Love. Just need LBJ insurance. The issue i see with JJ is that he could drop off over night and then we will be in the same situation next off season with trying to find a LBJ back up.

Also heard rumors about derozan, don't really like him as a fit and Crawford is older than JJ

Derozan rumors were just false optimism. It will never happen. Toronto would never give him up to shed salary. He's basically their franchise player. Same with the Rudy Gay rumors.

I'm actually starting to like the idea of a Crawford deal.

1) He's an excellent shooter when he's not taking dumb shots and just like with JR i don't think he takes as many dumb shots in the Cavs system.

2) He's much cheaper than Joe Johnson, I don't feel comfortable paying a 34 year old who is clearly out of his prime 25 mill a year JOE would be the highest paid player on the team :scust:

3) He can handle the ball and create for himself because he still has GREAT handles and SPEED, and also has a little bit of clutchness in him.
