I really wonder how much they spent on this movie. If tangled can make the list of the most expensive movies ever made and they say this movie was shot entirely on a lot and is entirely CGI

We'll never get to that level. Instead what's gonna happen is a new and better tech will replace it. Just like we did with stop motion and stuff. But then even though better than cgi it will have it's own tell tale signs that allow us to know it's fake, Like some hologram technology or something that allows the special effects to physically present with the actors but its always kinda affected differently by natural light.
