Denver simply a better team, specifically because they were more disciplined.

Game 1, DEN controlled the game, LAL stormed back but took questionable shots in a 1 possession game
Game 2, LAL controlled the game but resorted to hero-ball 3s when DEN stormed back
Game 3, every time LAL made a run they would sabotage themselves with turnovers

But in all 3 games, the constant was you couldn't really question DEN's shot selection.

The two underrated, under mentioned teams who have shocked the world beating up on big name, star laden teams. Nuggets have been this good they just weren't healthy, the year Jamal tore his ACL I thought they could've done something that year but it seems they're on track to do that this year. Nuggets are deep as fukk, and you can't ask for a better duo than Jokic and Murray.

There NOT the same quality tho. Rui was looking like a min contract player till LA got him. Dennis is on the min and was going to be out of the league. All of the players Denver got can help winning Basketball. KCP, Brown, and Murray is a 25+ player as is MPJ and Gordon. Not one player Denver put out there is a scrub or specialist. They got rid of Hyland because he's a specialist. They won't dare play that center who was getting big minutes for the Lakers before the trade deadline.
