Of course the ATL
This is actually pretty true of Reb

Real shyt. Dude's a caricature at this point yet he can't respond to facts. He instead resorts to childish & cliche "you're gay" jokes. Dude can't even respond to the inherent hypocrisy of his own thread.

All that is fluff. They're not good enough, and at the moment, ownership isn't trying to be good enough. Until they do, they deserve all the criticism they get. The Jets won in a rout today yet the feeling was so empty, like a preseason win.

Screw all this bs.

I saw them gradually taking time away from Bart Scott, replacing him with DeMario Davis who was all over the field. Keller was back and Hill was obviously missed.

I think Mark likes big targets at receiver.

I'm just not as cynical as your are.

Him throwing high all the time kinda gives that away.

They haven't lost a game they were supposed to win. They haven't won a game they were supposed to lose. So far they've been on track. Unfortunately, most felt they were on track for 7-9 wins. Hard to get excited about that.

Today the team won because Shonn Greene looked like a RB with his shoes tied correctly. This is how the Jets wanna be. Ground and pound, Mark doesn't do too much, and doesn't turn the ball over (and if he has to carry the team on a drive, milk the clock for all its worth). It's hard to rely on this with any consistency each week. Until they do, it's justified to be cynical about where this is heading.

Really? :aicmon:

Let's look at what Reb has said:

1. It's annoying that this ordinary team is getting as much attention as it is because of one player that isn't even a starter.

Jets aren't getting coverage solely based off Tebow. I recall a pretty mediocre Jets team get alot of media coverage last season as well.

You got Rex, the ups & downs of Mark Sanchez, Bart Scott quotes, Revis Island, Santonio causing locker room issues. Plus it's in NYC. The team was gonna get attention one way or another

2. I came to the conclusion after the Niners kicked the Bills ass on Sunday that the loss to them really wasn't that bed considering they are the best team in football and would play better against the Texans. In back to back weeks, they've played the NFC's and AFC's best teams.

While their shortcomings are obvious, how bad they are is completely overrated.

I don't think people know how good or bad this team REALLY is so how is it overrated. It's only been 6 weeks & the Jets are tied for the AFC East lead. Again, more hyperbole & overreactions from Reb

1. jets got mad coverage off tebow, I dont think you can argue that. all that shyt you gave as an example pales compared to tebowmania. plus, the focus on how bad they were after a blowout was magnified without much warrant

2. besides the fact reb gave you personal opinion on strength of those teams, what didnt you like there ? its clear that they were playing against teams that were much better. jets in general have trouble this season against teams with good rushing attack and stingy defenses that punish average qbs. both texans and niners were clearly overpowering the jets. even then, jets managed to make the texans game look managebale.

after the niner win, there were tons of talk on here and in the media on how bad the jets were and how sanchez is utter garbage and so on....jets were never as bad as the media made it out to be after that loss.

media and fans are extremely reactionary nowadays. after big wins, its we tha best, after big blowout its we tha worst...its like they still cant get used to volatility of the NFL

Cameron Wake - “Prior to the 2009 season the Jets scouting department wanted Cameron Wake badly and the team was in a position to sign him, Tannenbaum personally overruled the move and said he didn’t want him.”
