Agreed.
The IWC has never been a monolith.

It's important to keep a couple things in mind here
1) While its true that the IWC tends to prefer heels to faces, we can't discount the fact that this particular era of WWE forces all faces to be lame, smiling cornballs and select heels are really the only ones that get to have any sort of personality. So despite IWC tendencies, its hard to fault them on this one because heels today simply ARE objectively better than the work WWE faces are doing.
2) Similarly, while there is the nostalgia factor that makes every past era seem better and compare favorably to the current one, we again cannot ignore the fact that apart from all of that, the product today is legitimately worse than its been in some time. A lot of that is the PG bullshyt restricting everything and forcing everyone to cater to a 9-year old fanbase more than ever. Attitude era > "Ruthless Aggression" > PG/today. That's not nostalgia or smarks always disliking the current era. No, those are facts.
On The Rock: Quote: ALL HE DOES IS TALK. HIS MATCHES ARE SUB-
STANDARD. HIS FANS ARE MOSTLY LITTLE GIRLS AND HOMOS WHO HAVE A CRUSH ON HIM. WHERE WERE ALL THESE
FANS A YEAR AGO AT WRESTLEMANIA 15.
EXACTLY!!!! And to add to that, the general population was not on the Internet in the late 90's and if they were they we're not on forums. It's different now, majority of the audience has access to voice there opinion than they did in the late 90's. most of the criticism of the current product is fair. I look at those dvd's and think how can the kids that buy this DVDs not notice how much the product has regressed.
Naw, I don't buy that argument. Yeah more people have internet access, but the only people that are posting on forums are the hardcore fans (which is still a very small percentage of the audience). The average wrestling fan isn't taking time out of their day to write critiques of a Monday Night Raw segment and debate the moveset of John Cena on a message board. So essentially it's the same type of people that were posting in the 90s.
