All this proves is Nas is a TRUE student of the game and got alot of musical influence from his pops.

I was mind blown when I saw them years ago. Honestly, I thought it was creative how Nas incorporated those ideas into his concept of growth in the QB projects. It was crazy how he carried the concept across those four albums and then unveiled it in a Source ad for Nastradamus. When I saw the ad and then the caption of "from boy to man to king to prophet", I was legit :ohhh::ooh::lupe::mindblown:.

There was another Jazz musician and for the fukking LIFE of me I can’t recall his name right now but basically a lot of his album covers seem to thematically have influenced Nas. This musician had an Egyptian Pharoah themed cover, a cover highly reminiscent of God’s Son, and I believe one reminiscent of Stillmatic.

Anyone know who i’m talking about?

Jazz being my favorite genre of all time, this is fukking awesome

Illmatic inspired by Jazz, with DJ Premier and Pete Rock being Jazz Rap producers, I'm in heaven whenever I listen to Illmatic
