NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Nas being influenced by a 1974 Jazz album is far different than Biggie dropping his album the same year with the same cover thematically. lol. Biggie's Ready To Die was a mixture of a bunch of shyt he was influenced by going on directly around him at the time. From The Chronic and Doggystyle, To King T, To Pac, To Nas..To Chubb Rock.. and the list goes on.

Ft. Stewart, Ga
There was another Jazz musician and for the fukking LIFE of me I can’t recall his name right now but basically a lot of his album covers seem to thematically have influenced Nas. This musician had an Egyptian Pharoah themed cover, a cover highly reminiscent of God’s Son, and I believe one reminiscent of Stillmatic.

Anyone know who i’m talking about?

Wow I had no idea about the smif n wessun/roy ayers one.

I love and hate things like this. I hate it because my preconceptions of the covers originality in say like the smif n wessun cover are taken away whereas i love it because you find another layer to the foreign exchange cover which on a surface level looks generic and boring.

I do want to say I appreciate the headnod and preservation of history in all of the contemporary covers though.
