The problem is NY'ers want credit for shyt they originate, as they should.

But once it's time for them to acknowledge the styles that they themselves emulate from other regions they go "bu bu but we made it better!!" Instead of giving credit where credit is due.
Roddy Rich is one of the biggest LA rappers rn, and is bigger than any NY nikka not named Boogie and has given SK credit.

think we been said A-Boogie is the most organic and influential rapper in NY since the Dipset days on here.

his first tape still his best. a good summer tape.
the EP after has my favorite songs of his on there though.

both his albums haven't done much for me.

"Almost slipped" was influenced by Major Nine not A boogie

Almost Slipped is basically a Durk song. I'm convinced he gave him it.

that was my peoples

I was there when Jim Jones brought them out for their first look/show, was there when they did Community 54.
shyt, I was hyping them up and selling Rocky to people like I was going to make money off of them....but

:hubie:

their influence is felt more in other places and its not really musically either.

now Rocky is tarred with that Donald Trump brush.

I actually clicked on all those videos in the OP, but I didn't listen to the tracks all the way through. 5 out of 8 of those were either direct rip-offs or you can tell they were influenced. And the second to last track you can hear the guy pretty much using A Boogie's lines in his hook. Disgusting...:hhh:
