(shouldn't they have known Jak Jak had powers from how he escaped Syndrome
I agree with this. I could have sworn that Elastigirl saw Jack Jack use his powers in the last movie when she was parachuting him safely to the ground.
I liked this but thought the poor man's supers were an unneeded distraction. (except maybe the teleporting chick) The catfight between her and Violet was Piff.
IIRC all they saw was Syndrome flying off with Jack Jack and then when he uses his powers they are a few hundred feet up the air and the Incredibles can't see anything. So after Syndrome lets go Mr Incredible Throws Elastigirl and then the parachute stuff happens
I took my daughter to see it on Saturday. Movie was great. Not perfect and not quite better than the original, but fairly close IMO. Kinda weird that Mr. Incredible and Dash were under utilized this time around, but they upped Frozone's parts a bit, which I was glad about. I wasn't opposed to Elastigirl and Violet getting more shine this time around either. Didn't think or ask for that, but they did it well, for the most part, so I was pleased. 9.25/10 IMO. The villain was indeed predictable tho albeit, as someone else mentioned earlier in the thread
I did initially think that both the brother and sister were behind it all, not just one of them, but ah well. I will say that for the 3rd one, if it ever happens, we need to have an actual powered super villain. An angle they could easily push into that is about power corrupting people.
The only bad thing I experienced during the movie was that within my IMAX assigned seating, I was next to an overly obnoxious, laugher. fukking clown ass nerdy white guy was guffawing to unnecessary extremes at parts that weren't even funny. Anytime the baby even used any power, even long after we were acclimated to that, he over there cackling like a fukk up. Took me out the movie completely. I was like a heartbeat away from saying outloud, "Really nikka!?"
Frozone said what the f....they cut him off after seeing jack jack use his super powers.
Edit.
example, that parents may want to be cautious over the film’s language.
Geisinger specifically referenced a scene that included the character Frozone, voiced by Samuel L. Jackson.
Jackson utters the phrase “What the" followed by the hint of the letter "F" to imply a swear word.
“He doesn't finish the sentence, but for parents who have concerns about swear words around their children, they may want to cover their kids' ears,” Geisinger wrote.

I didn't feel like it was a movie during the parts where they were doing family shyt
I felt like I was just chilling at their crib while this stuff was going on. Kinda like Frozones char. Family friend. Just there
And I was all in the whole time. Nothing bored me. Even the mundane stuff was satisfying. Important, even. These "supers" are most relevant as their actual personality, rather than their look or their power or their gimmick.
The action was so yummy. Elastigirl for once makes stretchy powers look COOL AS FUKC. Seriously. No other stretchy char has ever made me feel a dope feeling. And I was buying actual comics in the 80's and 90s. I am a comic guy and I hate stretchy powers
Until now
Ummm
shyt was fly. The villain was wack-ish, but only because the 'reveal' was so empty.
But the overall threat was high stakes. It got us from A to B
I give this a 5/5. Along with the first movie
Before we had many good live action CBMs we had The Incredibles. They rocked the house then and they still rocking.
They still havent made a good FF movie or cartoon. But this FF pastiche is gold
I saw the movie again earlier today. The ScreenSlaver would have been a better villain if he was his own character instead of who they revealed him to be. I liked the "you don't play games, you watch game shows" speech and the voice of the character.
Even though a lot of people want to see a time jump in the sequel, I kind of don't cuz Jack-Jack would be too overpowered as a small kid. Having all those powers work as a baby cuz he doesn't really know what he's doing.
i loved the movie. what is great about this one and the original is how well they replicate reading comic books. the pacing feels exactly the same and the action is so easy to follow
Took my youngin to see it
Movie was dope way better then Jurassic world
No boring parts loved the rac00n fight
My lil girl already figured out who the bad guy was my only gripe
