This means nothing...shytty argument

why is it a shytty argument? Had you replaced those 2 top 5 teams with let's say illinois and maryland would LSU have a lost?

Remember gizzle, not all losses are created and looked at equally. That's why OSU is 16th and Sparty is 10th. Sparty had a better loss than OSU. it matters

The only thing that stands out to me is Ole Miss. Even with the loss to the Rebels, the Tide still has the more impressive resume. You can't criticize and penalize Ohio State for a bad loss to Virginia Tech then turn around and give Ole Miss a pass for losing to a bad LSU team. The Tigers are much improved but with that offense, they're still the worst team in the SEC West and will be destroyed by Amari and Bama next week.

I still say the only way the SEC gets 2 teams is to have an undefeated champ and a 1-loss runner up, which means Mississippi State and Auburn have to run the table and I don't see that happening. The committee is trolling us all.
Who has OSU beaten this year compared to Ole Miss that has a win against the #6 team. Not to even factor in which team both lost to.
The top 3 are fine, but Oregon should be at the #4 spot.
There is way too much football left, especially with all these SEC teams. But hypothetically, I can see the SEC getting two teams in if Georgia were to run the table along with Miss St. doing the same as well with Georgia beating them. They would give a 1 loss Georgia team the nod over TCU/KSU/MSU

Why should ole miss get rewarded for losing last week is my question, especially to LSU

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the playoff rankings different from the polls in that those are more based on the previous week vs this which is a totality of the season and resume. I think that unlike the BCS the "losing early being better" won't necessarily be the case, but more who have you beaten and the context of the lose

looking at the context of a loss is a slippery ass slope when you are just picking teams on merit. if a teams qb goes down and they lose a game to a mediocre team, that shouldnt factor in one bit. it should just be looked at as a loss to a mediocre ass team. you cant knock a team out who lost at a place like oregon or something for example, because a team lost to arkansas but had a qb injury that game. fukk that. thats the breaks. teams in every other league dont get re-do's if a guy gets hurt. if you are sitting around picking and choosing teams objectively, it should be on resume alone, not the context of the losses. wins and losses only. "well team a lost on a hail mary, but this other team lost by 10" type shyt should not even be in discussion. did you lose? ok, who did you lose to? thats all that should be discussed
