This dumbass committee really decided W/L record was way more important than SOS and quality wins. No reason to schedule anything but cupcakes now.

Thing is you want quality wins to matter but not horrible losses.

Beat Oklahoma and this isn’t an issue.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Teams might as well go back to scheduling cupcake non conference games at this point. Because if you win your conference title, or have a strong enough conference with one loss on your resume, it makes no sense to schedule challenging non conference opponents. The Mountain West champion will always have the advantage when it comes to qualifying. And some of these teams that got in had easy schedules.

This is why the SEC and big 10 are lobbying to have 4 teams from each conference get automatic bids :mjlol:

And at some point, Notre Dame is going to have to join a conference. They have the luxury of playing one less game than conference champions every year.

If we beat OU then there’s 4 SEC teams including a potential Bama with 3 losses. it would’ve been the same complaints

Bama lost to Vanderbilt and Oklahoma. That’s why they not there. Stop crying. It’s their own fault.
were not there because SMU lost a close game to a 3 loss Clemson

‘’if SMU wins or Clemson dominates, Bama is in

and like I said earlier, if Bama beat OU and lost to Texas in SEC chip people would have the same complaints

You lost to Oklahoma and Vanderbilt. Look in the mirror and see that as the issue. Stop crying and get ready for the Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl or wherever you man’s playing.

Imagine the @mastermind yap if a 3 loss Bama that lost the SEC chip got in over a 2 loss SMU that lost the ACC chip

Bama brought this on themselves
And this is why the expanded playoffs is so great.. Before you could empathize with an undefeated confrence champ like FSU not getting a seat at the table. But now, when the teams getting left out are 3 loss losers like Bama or a choking Miami...those cries don't ring off as loud and they look pathetic for not handling their own business.... shyt is perfect besides a few seeding tweaks

What does who they scheduled matter when the games lost were in conference? Alabama didn’t get left out for scheduling Wisconsin, they won that game. They got left out for losing to two 6-6 in conference teams. How does scheduling a cupcake instead of Wisconsin make a difference?

100% this.

the deflection makes ZERO sense.

Bama's issue wasn't nonconference opponents, it was trash conference opponents.

Alabama's nonconference schedule

Western Kentucky (Conference USA runner-up), 8-5
South Florida (AAC 6th/14), 6-6
Wisconsin (15th/18), 5-7
Mercer

This would be fine if they took care of business within the SEC... but they didn't and it wasn't the "grind".. it was the fact that they lost to two terrible teams..
