Why was Boise State ranked so high in the first place? Besides, barely losing to Oregon, why would they be ranked as high as they are?

Their ranking is actually warranted considering they didn’t appear in the AP/Coaches rankings until week 5 headed into week 6 and that was literally #25. So they weren’t gifted anything like other teams were to start the season

This is part of the problem with the preseason rankings. It gives a built in bias already before games are to be played. Tries to say 'this team must be good, cause we ranked them that way to start the season'.

But I do think that Boise is a Top 10 team. At the end of the day, you cant be getting blown out. And you gotta stomp the lesser teams.

The Super conferences are very unbalanced so it doesn't help matters, u won't play everyone in conference every year

Case in point…Missouri. They refused to drop them out the T25. Got their doors blown off in every lost and struggled in wins again Boston College, Auburn, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, OU.

Ever since Tommy Tuberville’s Racist ass cried about an imagined injustice in 2003, we been stuck in this paradigm of rewarding those conferences for mediocrity, especially the SEC.
