50 losing to Kanye was the end of hip hop that opened the door for fakkits n soft ass suburbans doods to take over ..skinny jeans tookover..sad shyt cause quality of music today is horrendous

So are u gonna actually sit here and say 50 has given us better projects than Ye? :mjpls:

Stop it breh

Ye beating 50 meant that music became more of the focus for hip hop and that image was less of a factor:mj:

the best coast
and its his last album on the label

politics

u can't be that stupid to think Interscope would drop a slaughterhouse album before a 50 cent album

I'm a Nas fan but I can admit nikkas only rock with Nas tracks to look cool the day it drops then the next day nobody cares

Bisd sold more than LIG

and MY life which is considered a "flop" on here sold like 400k more than every nas single

The only nas single on LIG that even charted was Daughters which was at 78

interscope did drop a slaughterhouse album before 50 :what: and you're a terrible fan if you only listen to nas to seem cool :what:

nas has never been a big seller, sales comes with being a trendy rapper and thats something nas isnt. during the early 2000s gangsta rap was cool again and 50 was the forefront of that scene so of course his tapes we're selling out the stores.

but nas has been in the game for 20 years he has a dedicated fanbase that 50 will never have. a lots changed since 09 and i doubt 50 can sell like that anymore, explaining why he hasn't dropped and can't get a good single.

Over the past 2 or 3 years of trying to get a song to pop so he can finally get a release date, the former billboard chart position boasting Curtis "Interscope" Jackson has put out flopped singles from all conceivable angles...

But taking a step back from the joys of hating on him, it's actually kind of a thing of beauty...invokes memories of Hakeem Olajuwon in his prime dominating in the paint with post moves from every which way...or Roy Jones Jr. in top form, throwing punches from every direction and stance...

50 has made flopped singles an artform....I'm On It, Girls Gone Wild, Outlaw, First Date, New Day, Major Distribution, We Up, etc....he's run the complete flop gamut...from failed "club bangers"... to "yeah I'm taking it back to my old aggressive content filled style" ...to "hey let's make a pseudo-inspirational mainstream anthem with Alicia Keys on the chorus, it got Jigga a #1 record" ...to "hey trap rap is pretty hot right now, how about a drug dealing song with Jeezy on it" to "this is my last ditch chance, I'm just gonna blatantly put Eminem and a super mainstream cac singer on a track and get carried to a cheap top 5 crossover hit"...to ":snoop: fukk the Em record flopped :mindblown:...Kendrick's on fire right now, get him on a song ..MTV just named him #1 hottest in the game"...you name it, 50's tried it and flopped

On the other hand, as stated in previous threads, the "Aubrey Graham Buzz Recovery and Relevance Reinvestment Act" feature verse and hook stimulus package has been single handedly getting less popping rappers release dates and hit records left and right...every thing Drake touches goes straight into the upper reaches of urban radio and the upper half of the Hot 100...granted it won't happen because 50 being the crab ass muh'fukka that he is has effectively blacklisted himself from the YMCMB-OVO-MMG-WTB power circle, but what would happen if 50 ran to Drake for a hit :dwillhuh:...50's colder than pluto, floating out somewhere near the edge of solar system...Drake's scorching hot like the Sun...which side would things break?

:ohhh: The shyt is a quandary or a paradox or something

Yo...that was hilarious

50 is a damn fool for thinking he could have replicated Jay's success with Alicia Keys :scusthov:

That was Dre's record originally, Esther Dean did that chorus...when Swizz caught a wind of it he re did the whole song and put Alicia on there....

People seem to forget this dude is an outsider/loner ... All those beefs and severed ties and pride make it impossible to get out of this slump...Hip hop is all buddy buddy now, everyone likes everyone...Out of all the top rappers to duo with who is going to work with ? Just look at this list

Jay ? :jiggalol:

Nas ?

Aside from EM, who is probably his best asset/chance at "Recovery" ....Dude is finished. At least for now, he'll be back though...

@Cbanks36 you seem to be somewhat of a expert on 50's particularly aggressive strain of flabbynsickness..in your opinion, could it be saved by a Drake feature...is that what's keeping him from a release date?

:whoo: the only thing that saves him

Is to reconcile with the original members of G unit (Game, Buck, Banks, Yayo)

Do the reunion tour and drop a G unit forever mixtape

In other words :bryan:
