I agree. In fact Crawford could have a long and luxurious career overwhelming opponents with his goods vs their goods. However, ignoring a fighter's obvious flaw leads to those nights where Wink Wright completely dismantles a killer like Tito with just a jab. Or a night where a Jeff Lacy and his over confidence in his one power punch get schooled by a Calzaghe. Hell, it was ultimately Manny's flaw too. Not dedicating enough of your craft to the defensive side of the game eventually leads to crash landings at some point in your career.

I think you are being a bit too harsh on dude his defense is okay. He gets tagged a bit when he forces the action but it's a fight nikkas are going to get hit. I think him getting tagged last night had more to do with the pressure of putting on a good show because of the potential Pacman fight so he went looking for it instead of it coming naturally. These are top fighters we're talking about, saying they don't dedicated enough of their craft to the defensive side of this is a bit of a reach especially for a guy like Crawford look at what the punch stats from last night looked like. Those are not the ##s of someone who is irresponsible defensively in there.

You're right. Maybe I am being too critical of Crawford. I just think it's a glimpse inside exactly how good his defense is or isn't when the guy in front of you has one punch to throw and one time to throw it....and it keeps getting home. Manny hits hard and the only time he's really been baffled in the ring was by JMM and Floyd. Gamboa speed troubled him in the early rounds and Crawford got hit clean in that fight too. Understand my criticism of him is in relation to possibly fighting Manny next. Anybody else, then his flaws are a non factor cause I think his goods are better than everyone else's. But seeing him being so open during exchanges or when he's pressing the issue, it scares me in a matchup with Pac.

Been busy so just got to watch the fight.
Hopefully all the Crawford doubters are off that. Bud is the truth.
Him and Imam are my guys at 140.

And although I think Crawford does well vs. Pacquiao, part of me thinks it should be Pacquiao-Khan because it is a bigger event. I would love to see Crawford get that Manny stimulus and make his move into PFP levels and superstardom.
