Half way through episode 2 and so far…it’s so bad it’s good. :laff:

“I want you to suck my cock.” I know he’s African-Canadian but there’s something hilarious when a black man says “cock”. :mjlol:

The Izzak guy would’ve been far better at playing the Weeknd’s character. He has that natural alternative negro demeanour that these white chicks find alluring.

But back the weak end’s acting… he’s just not convincing. He’s trying too hard, which sounds crazy because he should be right in his element: PAWGs and cocaine.

But I can’t stop watching. It’s like a train wreck, you just want to know how much worse it can get. The sex scene felt so forced. How can the dialogue from BLACKED sound more convincing? And those porn hoes can’t act for shyt.

And Lily Rose Depp has been severely underwhelming. Take away her last name and she wouldn’t have been casted.
lol mannnnnn that shyt is so true in real life too.

After reading Twitter, I might be the only one that liked the show :pachaha:

I liked the ending :yeshrug:
sooooo, lily realizes that teedros was playing her after her manager (the black women) put her on game with him tricking lily with her asian backup dancer to gain her trust. She gets her mojo back, realizes Teedros is full of shyt, but... why did she initially lie about how her mother treated her and why did she invite him back on stage?

Exactly. He was pimpin them hoes and exploiting their "talents." Now he's the hoe. Joss exploits his talent, which is getting the most out of these hoes, of which she is.

I liked the show, the cinematography was top notch, also liked the score, something about it felt so L.A. to me, the club scene, riding in the cars, etc. Soundtrack is the highlight.

SPOILER ALERT

Started off great, fell off by the end.
I get the ending. It was just poorly done.
The finale was the worst episode of the series. Huge plot holes in this thing. Too many to get into here.
They want us to believe that Tedros was tryna turn Jocelyn out, but instead she turned him out.
FOH.

I'm not sure what Da'Vine's purpose was in the grand scheme of things, besides being The Mammy and The Sapphire stereotypes combined.
She was supposed to find out what Tedros' deal was but then all she talked about was how talented Tedros' hoes were.
I got tired of seeing Moses Sumney on the screen. He can't act and he can't sing.
They compared that nikka to Prince, which was straight blasphemy.
It's obvious they used him as a Mandingo, albeit a new millennium pansexual Mandingo for the Black male body fetishists.

Their showcase went on way too long and was fukking torture to sit through.
Those songs were wack as fukk and and the on the nose lyrics were godawful.
The dialogue was especially terrible in that episode with the exception of Eli Roth's lines.

As much as I like on-screen female nudity, just like with porn, it needs context to make it sexy IMO.
I got tired of having the camera shoved up Lily-Rose Depp's ass in every other shot.
It's like "fukk, Sam. We get it. She's supposed to be a nubile sex kitten. Enough already."
Contrary to the word on the street, I thought The Weeknd did really well but Hank Azaria did the best acting of the entire cast.

If it was really honest then Tedros would've never been allowed to live in the house in the first place and there would've been a lot more chat about the influence of TikTok. This show is a romanticized version of the business. Jocelyn likely wouldn't have this much creative control in real life. Pop music nowadays doesn't really feature that much sex compared to Levinson's generation (80s/90s). What's sexy about the music of Olivia Rodrigo or Selena Gomez? No lives were destroyed in pursuit of the music; Jocelyn still loves Tedros even after destroying his career.

I wish I could call it even an entertaining mess. I wish we got more of Tedros bullshytting in the finale instead of a 30 minute concert that no one asked for (and this is coming from someone who actually listens to Moses Sumney).
You're dead on about this.
As controlling as Jocelyn's team was, there's no way they'd let an unknown influence slip in.

Since when did porn need context to be sexy?
