Cause Tedros using that to tap into hoping it could propel her into what he thinks she could be and use and control her . Then the scene after. You gotta listen to the lyrics matchup with The Weeknd’s song playing it being about his mother secret times and why she could be crying. He sees it as good but his mother could see it as regret. Jocelyn mother had cancer. Then Jocelyn going through experience again in the next scene and waking up saying Thank you for taking care of me to Tedros. shyt was dope man shot well

that dinner scene was dope like people were saying, I feel like the first two fleshed out who Tedros is, what he does and how where Jocelyn is right now (her career/personal life) and the dinner scene and post scene shown her vulnerability, what made her successful and how Tedros "broke" her and now has her in his cult with the rest of his "family" aka followers.
