What other "superstar" has won a ring or even made the finals in the last 10-15yrs other than Lebron, wade, bosh (no superstar), kobe, durant, westbrook, duncan, dwight (borderline superstar)

Almost every so called superstar plays with another superstar or allstar caliber player except davis and melo. Melo's 2nd best option for the past few years has been jr smith lol

Melo was a game away from going to the finals and he lost to a team that won the chip, Ofcourse melo is no lebron or kobe. But to say he is not a superstar or a first option is ridiculous.

His team won games when he shot 5 for 27. What does that tell you? The Sixers were "good" that year because they played the best defense in a very bad Eastern Conference. I'm not saying AI was a bad player, but dudes love to overrate him and put him on the Kobe/Wade/McGrady level. When he clearly wasn't anywhere as good as those guys.

You and I have both seen what Kobe's % can look like when he's got no one to pass to. I'm pretty sure AI would've had much more stellar numbers if he had a worthy running mate. Sixers dropped the ball on that end.

Thing is, he actually was killed for that inefficiency. He still is til this day.

My problem is, when it comes to A.I. people really try to cyse his teammates like he aint run with shytty squads all his prime. You talking bout Kobe, Wade and T-mac...all 3 of those guys are in my top 5 favorite players, Wade no.1. But we really gone act like Kobe and Wade weren't surrounded with great talent and won as a result? Mac never been out the first round til he was warming the spurs bench. A.I. got to the finals with an underwhelming ass team. I acknowledged the defense in my post but you gotta put numbers on the board too.You gotta have a nikka that take shyt over. A.I. was that. He was scoring champ and steals leader. He won MVP. They got a game in the finals on an undefeated Laker squad cause AI went for 48. Why cant we give him that? That's my only thing. nikkas always asterisking his accomplishments.... The nikka 5'11, 165. To carry a team like he did, win scoring titles, make all nba year in and out.. he was a great player. Anybody else with that resume would be lauded as fukk. Because its him, its like "well,he shot too much" fukk was he supposed to do with them teams? fukk is Kobe posed to do with Smush Parker and them..or Wade with JO and Beasley or Tmac with Mike Miller...I hate when people do that. ..He got with Melo, his shots came down, his shot percentage/assists shot up. Melo isn't nearly good enough to win as a first option, and is too selfish and ball dominant to be a third option.

That's just the problem, and you don't even realize it. Carmelo will always be your 1 or 2, and you will never win a championship because of it. Just like Iverson. They're "better players" than Allen, easily... but if I'm a coach, and I'm building a team designed to win, I would rather have Ray Allen than either one of them. I'd rather have Ginobili than Iverson as well. I'd take Ben Wallace over Blake Griffin. I'd take Dennis Rodman over Russell Westbrook. I'm sure a lot of people would read this and think I'm out of my mind, and I'm cool with that.

son AI is one of the few nikkas who actually was doin it by himself. nikka shouldn't have been goin as far as he was goin wit that garbage 76ers team. on top of that the NBA was literally changing rules around this nikka. AI was dangerous as fukk. I would never pick Ray Allen over a prime AI...
