That still does not prove it is eurocentric in my opinion. A people can be the first to do something, does not then make it something that can only be attributed to them. The European change to realism was also their movement away from painting from a gods eye view and instead painting from the perspective of humanity.Historically, the 1st people to paint realism or in sculpture where Europeans hence Renaissance art period. People of the sun used abstract figuratives.
Unless you find something scholarly that disputes this claim ..
I guess then that explains why I prefer art that is from a human perspective, because I am a person who is inclined to align with considering situations in a humanistic way instead of trying to perceive it in the way of the divine. So seeing art that depicts people from the view of the 4th dimension (cubism), or art that depicts humans as 2 dimensional beings like ancient Egypt, does nothing for me. I see humans as a human would, and the only cubism I like is the depictions of geometric objects in the 4th dimension (so higher dimensional mathematical equations depicted in art). When it comes to the actual depiction of objective reality, I like to see the beauty of people and objects as they are presented to us in our human experience.
