Question for you brehs…if you were to go on a road trip, would you drive your own car, or rent one?

I’m off of work till August and I want to drive out west to Arizona to see the scenery or make an east coast road trip to see the big cities up there. Trying to decide if I should rent a whip or just use my own :patrice:.

It’s a 2017 with less than 80K miles and everything is perfect with the car. Idk if I want to put all those miles on my car but I don’t wanna spend money for a rental.

RENT! Get a mid-size or full size (Corolla, Altima, etc). If you take that west drive that drive through Texas gone be hell lol. Sounds like an enjoyable trip either way

Sometimes it’s good to put your car on the freeway and go for an extended period of time. But it’s also cool to rent something you really like and drive any type of way you want.
Depends on the amount of stop and go, braking, and temperatures will be as well.

And get the full coverage insurance. Don't goof there

@staticshock Heed this advice, especially for a extended rental like you're doing. I know when you rent through Enterprise's employee program they add full coverage to the rental and the rates are cheaper

ATL to Arizona or up 95? Nahhh I'm renting. Who knows what could go wrong even on a newer car. I'd rather have the piece of mind to just swap out the car and keep rollin instead of coming out of pocket to repair my own car

are you really “stop and go” on a road trip? Highway miles are much easier on your car and majority of the miles driven will be highway miles. Literally dont even need your foot on that gas like that. On top of that of you got a Toyota or Honda (or their luxury flavors) then miles are irrelevant. City driving is what tears your car up.

that’s what I’m saying. If it’s just highway driving it’s not a big deal. But stop and go in traffic while it’s 95 f then maybe you want to rent something.

So me and my homeboy drove out to LA from here (he was moving out there) back in 2011. Trip took 31 + hours to get there including stops. He drove his car, a 2010 Chevy Malibu. We didn’t have any issues driving there but he started to have transmission issues about a year later. If I were you I’d rent a car and get one of your homeboys to ride with you. It’s a long long drive, I wouldn’t advise you to do it by yourself

I really hate that man.

Obama is still on these rednecks mind, yet smart-dumb nikkas on here swear they’re sounding intelligent when the try to talk down on Obama.
Obama lost to his ass twice, what you want niccas to do
The results speak for themselves :manny:
