Coming into ATL late Friday night (10ish pm).

Picking up a Chevy Impala for the weekend :ehh:

Gonna be chillin with this one shorty around North Druid Hills. Honestly just need to get away from town for a little bit. Not even looking to party it up really. I really just want to get a feel of the city and see if this area could be my next move. I'll probably spend part of Saturday morning just driving around town just checking out spots I haven't been before.

Now that I think about it, probably should have taken off Friday and come in Thursday night. Gone into the city of Friday to get a feel of ATL on the weekday. Oh well :yeshrug:

Of course the ATL
Poor Calvin's, Antico, Ticonderoga, Bone Garden Cantina, there's a bunch more.

One of the great things about Atlanta now is that there are so many great restaurants in and around the city...Atlanta is a destination for high dining & great food now no matter what you want to eat

Some more of my favorites:

Shoutout to The Optimist (some of the best seafood in the city, dope environment. Edge of West Midtown near downtown)
Southern Gentleman (Southern inspired pub, rooftop vibes in the summer are >>>>, Buckhead)
Lure (Great food, amazing drinks, Midtown next to Opera, nice date night in the city vibe)
Chai Yo (high level Thai food, Buckhead, took my wife there for our anniversary and the food was amazing)
Chops (some of the best steak/seafood in the city, fried lobster tails >>>>, Buckhead near the St Regis)

Lol he was my teacher and i played for them (albiet JV), cool dude and real as hell too

I was surprised when McCrary came back to coach. It was funny tho, saw them play last season and he was barely coaching them boys lol

Ain't nothin touching them 06-10 squads tho. Columbia having magnet gave them some players that had no business being in Decatur. Plus they were basically a 5A school (talent-wise) playing 4 and 3A

Starting 5 used to be lookin like a college roster. shyt wasnt fair. Then the bench had one or two nikkas that would start at every other school in the Dekalb county :russ:

Lance wasnt that good, he had size and fundamentals but didnt have the “it” factor. I remember he got his ankles broke by that dude Moo Moo from South Atlanta (dude had handles out the ass) :russ:

Amu was the best player they had imo. When I left i remember they got some dude who could jump out the gym, I think his name was Travis or something.

Do you remember a breh from McNair they called TBo? Dude had hops out the ass. Lol he wasnt good at all but dude was an athletic freak. I believe they put him on the football team his senior yr and dude was on some TO stuff just because he was so gifted athletically. I never saw him do it but I remember myths about him being able to touch the top of the backboard.

Yeah when you a 6'5 guard in HS who's built like he was you can be half decent but still play at georgia tech. No shade lmao

I had a feeling you was gone say Amu, what was his home school? I only remember him being at columbia for a year. Travis was class of 08 (same as me), top 5 hops I seen in person, nikka could fly

That name TBo definitely sounds familiar as hell. Mcnair always had ballers even if their team was middle of the pack in the county. Dekalb had hoopers on every squad it was just tough to be better than Tucker, Dunwoody, and Columbia. The most accomplished pro basketball player from Dekalb from that era wasn't even on a top team or the "best" on his own team. Drew from Stone Mountain. 2nd rd nba draft pick and now he making big money in china

Amu lived in Stone Mountain, I forget where he was supposed to go though. Dunwoody had a dude who was old as hell I forget his name, but you may have been too young to remember him. Tucker didnt get good until later in my HS days. When I got to HS Dunwoody, Columbia, and South ATL were the big 3 in that 3 and 4 A division. Stone Mountain had a solid squad but the other teams were just os much better. When they changed the districts I think my Junior yr or so, Westlake had a squad and Miller Grove was on the come up. I think Miller Grove took over officially when Coach McCrary left columbia.

You probably too young to remember but there was a breh at South Atlanta who was a monster, pretty much Louis Williams before Louis Williams. I was like in Middle school when he played but his name rang around the city. Last I heard (granted this was yeaaaars back) dude got on drugs and wasn't doing good.

Breh I know of every cat you talkin bout lol. Dunwoody won state in 06 I think, had a dude named Anjuan who went to UNC Charlotte. They had good squads around that time.

From South Atlanta you talkin bout Vincent Banks he was Mr Basketball in 03. He was at Cincinnati but left cuz of grades.I saw him playing at Georgia Perimeter round 06 or 07 iirc. He was definitely cold. What's crazy is the next six Mr Basketball's after him all played in the league. Many would argue he was better than all of em (Dwight Howard, Lou Will, Javaris Crittenton, Gani Lawal, Al Farouq Aminu, and Derrick Favors)

Miller Grove was solid their few years but yeah they aint run shyt until Tony Parker came around.

I can talk about 04-09 era all day

At Boogalou lounge in Midtown now

:ehh:

Some nice looking chicks here. Not really my scence but I can’t deny the talent out here. Just chillin at the bar waiting for my mans to slide through.

If you can’t eat in ATL then there’s really a problem with you. This is like the main city in the south. Already met some chicks from Alabama that came to ATL for the weekend to turn up.

ATL bout to join NYC as one of my weekend trips.
