IMO that's his fault because they tried one or two other finishers and couldn't come up with anything major. He can do some other shyt. Even braun was doing a few things before they settled with the powerslam. Which honestly is not worthy of him but they're selling it as a kill move.

I could see him with a Steiner recliner, a spinning lariat, or a few things that would be better tbh
If dirty deeds gets over as a finish, no reason this wont

Dirty deeds is not really over and sense dean changed it has been on the decline as well. At least with Dean dirty deeds is there because they wanted there to be a link to dean via Nostalgia to an attitude property that was not scsa.
So, we get the apprpval of of course mankind finisher.
That is little known and has not been technically used enough.
or even out there consistently match to match as a general move.
A ddt is just as simple as an arm bar now regardless of how stylistic it is.
Plus, why dean is a reclamation builder for seth and will be passed over.
once the tag reign with seth is over.
As dean has no finish to warrant being where his pop could take him.
It is a lackluster finish and why most of mankind's finishes were jobs, or fukkery.
One of the reason the wwe could always justify not strapping mankind up was his standard finish.
Just like here and also just like how edge failed to draw.
All from a lack of a potent finish.
This is domestic wrasslin and you need an incredible finisher.
shyt hhh is where he is to this day off the pedigree.

What was wrong with the northern lariat he used to do in tna? Add the glorious theatrics and the surprise factor of him doing t and you have a good move imo

Striking finishers do not work in the wwe generally because the matches lack consistent actual psychology to warrant a pinfall via strikes.
It would be a total bad move to give him a striking finisher.

Midcard jobbers do that rolling samoan drop tho. Plus he can't do that to every person regardless of size, whereas the DDT can be applied up and down the weight scale. The pedrigee holds him back and just drops him right into HHH's shadow. Roode is standing on his own with the DDT..... What will help him is the ddt not being used as a transition move 15 times earlier in the show.

Roode is not standing on his own.
He was in nxt like he was some development talent.
while they figure out what he works well at then never Giving it to them on the main roster on purpose.
Ala roode having a potent finish.
When he only made it to the wwe again off of finally having a potent finish, the rode bomb and looking strong because of it.

Nxt is a burial making device and real talk.
Y'all need to top watching it because it acts as a quality barrier and restricts the talent from ever using high quality works.
As the wwe uses nxt to validate their burial of the talent on the main roster.
As wwe as a main promotion does none of the quality that nxt provides simply on purpose.
It is simply a stash house for talent raids and eventual burials.
so said talent can possibly never draw again in any capacity.
On some well in next they blah blah blah and when they got to the main roster said individual was unable to grasp the brass ring, blazay ski wee whomp

To keep the conversation going (not an argument :whoa:) what do you suggest as a finisher for a 6'0" breh with Roode's look (I know he can go so height isn't an issue...but hes not a towering dude either)

Brainbuster? Powerbomb? What would be fitting?
I would give him the gutwrench piledriver as finisher

This song came up on the shuffle. I was both

:blessed: and :mjcry:

This gimmick deserved better on the main stage..

Nxt bobby roode was fukkin special
We disagree on a few subjects but this ain't one of them. Roode had EVERY tool you needed to be a perennial main event player, his run in TNA as champ was one of the best I've seen in any company and I've been watching a long time.

Hits NXT, they invested a lot in his presentation and the fans loved it. Hits the main and they just left him directionless and stranded him with start and stop bullshyt. "Here, get the crowd singing and buy us time until the next segment."

All time list of fumbles in my opinion. :snoop:

I feel like Roode definitely deserved a WWE title Reign. It didn’t even need to be a long one.

He definitely did, especially when you look at who they've given a run to and taken a chance on. No shade on Priest, but Roode is superior to him in every facet IMO.

A crisp, clean worker with palpable intensity and charisma and he fits the physical mold to be believable. Roode is money (No Beer) as a heel, they were beyond foolish wasting him.

Jinders WWE title run should have went to Roode
:yeshrug:

the best thing to come out of jinders title reign was his entrance presentation, that shyt made him look money but then he started wrestling and cutting promos and you remember it’s just Jinder :snoop:

Big facts, like I said there's no shade on these other guys but Roode is a ready made product in the ring, on the mic, and with the fans. There's no guesswork, just give him a solid consistent creative and he succeeds.

Honestly, I think his TNA prominence cut his legs out from under him.
