It was funny being introduced to P as an artist from the South and then finding out a few years later how many albums he had as a West Coast artist

Same with me, my first NL album was Life Or Death (funnily enough my favorite NL album to this day next to WW3) and when I started collecting all NL albums I was stunned how different P's westcoast stuff sounded compared to his output from 97 on

Whatever, I'll always say that the BBTP sound/production was superior to the westcoast era with producers K-Lou, E-A-Ski, Al Eaton & co

Given everything P has done, not even about No Limit dropping albums every week(even though that's an incredible feat that no other label has done since)I believe he's definitely a Top 20 artist

Plus P's storytelling is seriously underrated and at least he was writing his own raps

Kanyes wack and I don't think master ps legitimately a top 20 artist or even top 50 no hate. Young bucks way better then master p by far. I don't even think master ps top 15 from the south I say 15 because the south probably has the least superstars.

I wouldn't even know how to rank Master P. I don't think he's a very good rapper, but some of his Bay Area shyt was dope. Once he returned down south it was all downhill for me.

And we have to deduct points for biting.

But he was the head of a massively successful label and a superstar in the late 90s. He's also most directly responsible for bringing the South into the mainstream.

All of that's very important, but it wouldn't factor in at all if you're just going by music.
