These trailers man practically a fukin mini movie in itself, shyt was going good too until the cheesy singer (talk about momentum killer). Really wish hype Williams or someone with melanin spearheaded this but I am excited to see it nonetheless

Bet "The Breaks" producers thought they had the crown until his trailer came out. Interesting to see whether people won't to see 70s or 90s NY though.
Grandmaster Flash is a producer/adviser, plus I will say this. Baz's involvement means the budget is huge. Also Shawn Ryan is an exec Producer on this project as well. So it ensures it should be quality. Netflix is killing it.

Looks good, I know I saw Gus Fring in there and it looked like Jimmy Smits as well

I was just on Collider and the description of this show sounds A LOT like that show Vinyl that's going to air on HBO.
[The Get Down] will focus on 1970s New York City – broken down and beaten up, violent, cash strapped — dying. Consigned to rubble, a rag-tag crew of South Bronx teenagers are nothings and nobodies with no one to shelter them – except each other, armed only with verbal games, improvised dance steps, some magic markers and spray cans. HBO is gonna have trouble competing with the GET DOWN. You're right. I think both can be good. I like Vinyl's cast. But I love the Get Down is telling it from black people's perspective and how we changed the music scene and environment in NYC.
