Jay's music is more digestable to most of the masses

Nas lyrics and subject matter is leaps ahead of Jay's

And he isnt afraid to talk about the others while Jay p*ssyfoots

However, Jay can convene his subject matter better and shows he's a complete artist

Jay is a wave rydin nikka.. he was on his way to Nelly/Ja Rule status in 2003 if it wasnt for Beyonce then hopped on the Kanye bandwagon, Timberlake, etc.

Nas was always his own nikka.

Yall really turned this thread into a damn LeBron Vs Hobe stan fest... :martin:

Anyways Jay never been on Nas level lyrically and that's not a knock on him because very few are...
:mjlol: This is a blatant lie. For example find me nas bars on his new album thats as lyrical as this

Uh, nikkas is skippin' leg day just to run they mouth
I be skippin' leg day, I still run the world
I pressed ahead of your team with one finger curled
I'll line you all up with one finger wave
Make nikkas weave, nikkas is out here fake
Laced front to the back, don't front
Y'all gonna make me wig, I'ma give y'all what you want

:mjlit:Its time for you guys to show and prove

This isn't true. Beyonce didn't have a wave until "'03 Bonnie & Clyde". She had a solo song before that record dropped and it flopped. Her doing a song with Jay pretty much allowed her to break away from Destiny's Child and establish herself as a legit star. Kanye wouldn't have a bandwagon without Jay. And Jay Z didn't do a song with Timberlake until years later after turning down an offer to appear on a JT record years earlier.

Nas has been a better musician than Jay-z but jigga stans will bring up Beyoncé, stadiums and his money to try to argue the point. Not to say Jigga is wack, but compared to Nas.. come on. Nas is atleast top 2 only behind biggie or Tupac

The funny thing is nas got a shyt load of money himself they cant even use that anymore

How does Nasir widen the gap in comparison to 4:44?
Jay's lyricism just isn't showy enough or as "deep" on appearance, for the majority of people to fully appreciate.
Anyways, this has always been a Nas fan forum.
(Though to be clear, Nas is just as good as Jay and better in some aspects amd vice versa)

Nas verse was fine for what the song was meant to be.
A poppy radio collabo, Nas been doing a ton of these his whole career. Jay would have rapped the same on it

I actually think the gap is closing, have had Nas ahead, still do, but 4:44 was better than Nasir to me, and the Beyoncé joint album was dope to me too, so closing a bit to me.

Nas isn't in HOV's league. HOV is an actual rap artist. Nas is a glorified Canibus. HOV sounds good over any and everything. Better discog too.

A HOV feature is iconic. Nas, not so much.

Let the Coli tell it differently.
