as ridiculous as his antics are that isn't his problem

his music ain't capturing enough to garner discussion or an audience and hasnt been for some time. THATS why hes always on some cartoon character shyt... if he wasn't he'd be spoken about even less

You 100% correct, but the reality is that in the mainstream “west” will always be seen as LA first, bay second
I can go with that but Game doesn’t have anything from that era that slaps like “Blow the Whistle”. Right now if that shyt come on at any type of function it’s a hit like 20 years later still.

Sure he’s being emotional about his daughter in this clip, but you best believe that being overlooked has bothered him.

Game is a good rapper but his name dropping approach to writing rhymes dated his music and is not conducive to making timeless music. His shyt is pretty forgettable.

If you feel his debut is a classic that’s fine, but I have no desire to listen to it and would be okay never hearing that album again.

Game is basically an underground artist now. He dissed his mainstream counterparts and obviously wanted no parts of those guys. That Big Hit collab album came and went but he can still rap. It’s just the same recycled music he’s been making.

Game is currently getting 11.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Almost on par with Ross at 11.8 million.

This is far better than most of his peers like TI, Jeezy, Luda, Fab, the entire G-Unit combined (outside 50), the entire Dipset combined, etc. Not even gonna bother looking up dudes like Joe Budden or Cassidy.

The only peers from that era that are really out streaming Game are Kanye, 50 and Wayne, which should make sense, they saw far more commercial success.

People are clearly listening to his music, despite how his online reputation is (which is clouded by G-Unit/Em stans and haters). At the end of the day, good music is gonna last.

Game >>>>> Budden

You have it backwards btw. Game is respected in the hearts of every real hip-hop fan that's ever lived. It's just in current times, the goofy trendy shyt makes nikkas like you think he irrelevant in real life
I don't even know what you're responding to. Game should've used whatever relevance he had left to pivot to something more lucrative than music, similar to Joe budden, Cam, mace, Nore, etc.

We're supposed to be fans and consumers of music.

Why does it matter to us if these guys go do something outside rap?

No way is documentary a classic. He can’t tour that album 20 years later, only song that ever get any play is hate it or love it and that’s not in the top 100 of songs from 04-05 that gets play today. Game rode the 50 wave and when that was done so was he

I really doesn't matter to us at the end of the day, I'd just rather see some of these artist living well after rap.

Hey I know. Maybe Ye should put him on a mural since he did more for him than Dre. #Numinati

As someone who was a huge game fan and rode with him during the gunot days he's got no one to blame but himself.
Most of his antics have already been posted in this thread so I won't repeat.
Sad thing is he can still rap. Don't really go out my way to check for his new shyt but came across this.

Chuck kicked down the doors for the new west rappers back in 04/05 when it was jus the OGs holdin it down nationally. He’s definitely should be included on any list especially L.A. but like others said he burnt a lot of bridges.
